Our hot water tank started shutting down. Plumber came out and did a great job. I cannot praise these guys enough. They worked through lots of issues with the system until they got it working great. I really appreciate the perseverance they showed, and their great professionalism. Very easy to deal with, very friendly and quick response time.

Used Monty's for some furnace work and install of a hot water tank. Great company. Good service and very affordable we are very happy with them and will continue to use Monty's in the future.

I was billed $1,432.20 for what turned out to be a short from the humidifier to the furnace. Furnace shut down on the evening of Sunday, December 27th. Called Monty’s on the morning of Monday, December 28th as I wanted to support local business. Tech was responsive, friendly and seemed knowledgeable but in total it took over 6 hours from start to finish for him to figure out the problem was a short in the humidifier. I was charged an extra $100 for the original service call for it being a stat holiday even though it wasn’t. I was charged $889 plus tax for the tech to go to Calgary to pick up a circuit board for the furnace even though the invoice states that the circuit board was not the problem. I was even present with the tech when he originally replaced the circuit board and tested it. He told me that the board wasn’t the problem at that time and that I wouldn’t be billed for the time or cost associated with getting a new board. He discovered the real problem when he directly connected the humidifier to the board and it blew a fuse. The short was discovered as again stated right on the invoice and the humidifier was disconnected from the furnace and it worked fine. Contacted Monty to see if he would be willing to work out a fair price but he said everything on the invoice was justified. I was more than happy to pay the extra charge for the stat holiday and for the actual work done. Apparently unplugging a faulty humidifier from a furnace costs over $1,400 now. Obviously not recommending this company to anyone.A follow up to my review. Monty reached out to me and we hashed out a more amicable bill for services rendered. I do appreciate Monty taking the time to discuss the entire bill with me in detail. There was definite miscommunication between the tech and I and that is an area for improvement. I still can’t recommend this company based on my experience but I am not as jaded as I was with the first review.

Got back from holidays and had 2 leaking toilets, called and they had someone over within hours on the same day we called. Good communication with sending the plumber and fast, friendly service. Very happy with fix.

Great services! When I called for emergency ( I have no hot water) Monty was trying to help me on the phone, tell me what to do and explained very clearly, Eventally I got hot water under his help through the phone. Thank you very much Monty! Definitely I recommend Monty!

Our 13 year old hot water tank quit working so I had to find someone to install a new one. I phoned a few companies but when I spoke to Monty I just got a real good vibe from him. He was able to send Josh by that afternoon to install a new one. Josh was very efficient and explained everything to me. I would highly recommend his services to anyone. He will definitly be my plumber for any future concerns. Thanks Monty and Josh.

Very helpful over the phone, will call again if in home service needed

I’ve used Monty for my furnace and Water Heater issues at my house in Calgary. Today he was again a life saver, replacing my water heater at my rental property. Monty always keeps me in the loop and gives me a fair price. Thanks again, until next time.

Monty didn’t have time to come out for a furnace issue today but spent a considerable amount of time problem solving it with me over the phone which ended in a fix. He didn’t have to and didn’t get paid but he did anyway. Solid in my book.

My 2nd floor shower tap was leaking and it needed to be replaced. The job was completed 30 hours after calling Monty's plumbing. The final bill was $200 over the initial quote.
