I recommend checking it out if you're in the area! It feels a little dark, like there's no illusion that you're not in a basement, but the drinks and food are good and it's a nice place to pause and have something interesting.

Pretty cool art installation cafe, pretty hipster and the art seems to rotate quite often. We got a mocha and an iced coconut Americano (I'm pretty sure that's what I got). The vibe was really cool and they have some waffles, desserts and cakes if you are feeling a bit hungry. They offer takeout aswell if you are just looking for a drink to grab and go.Note that it is relatively cozy inside in terms of space so if you have a big group it might be tough finding somewhere to sit

Cute little coffee shop in the cabbage town area. It is a mix of food/drink and art installations by Local artists. Very unique vibe inside. Would recommend if you’re in the area.

Playground Cafe
Lovely café with various art installations and aesthetic drinks. They have cute photo ops everywhere including the washroom! My favourite items to get from here are the strawberry espresso latte and the sodas in the summer. They also have croffles and a few other specialty food items. Be sure to take lots of pics when you go!

Ordered the strawberry espresso and custard. Espresso looked pretty but was nothing special, but the custard had a lot of weird plant fiber mixed in? One or more in every bite? And this was supposed to be the most popular, basic desert here? Did not, will not finish either item. Will not visit again.The barista was very nice though. Do not regret tipping.

Literally a hidden gem in the east end of Toronto. A café located in a basement of a building which you could easily walk pass if you don’t take a closer look inside!I love the cool/chill aesthetics of the mirrors, white furniture and the concrete walls. Love the drink menu, my friend ordered the cold Jeju drink and it was citrusy! Lovely drink for a hot summer day. I have yet to try the baked goods but I’m sure they taste great.I also love the art installation in the centre of the cafe, what a lovely and creative idea - also a good conversation starter for those who genuinely enjoy art.

The playful retro space that many have touched on is a definite draw. It's clear that the owners have put a lot of thought into creating a fun and unique atmosphere. Unfortunately our coffee were burnt and completely undrinkable.
