Flooring Canada Ottawa

I've dealt with this company twice, the first time everything went well. The second time made me realize I'd just been lucky the first time. I ordered vinyl flooring and paid to have expedited shipping. Flooring was to arrive on Monday and I told the sales agent I'd pick it up on Wednesday. I live over an hour away, so allowed extra time just in case. I drove in to pick it up and was told it hadn't arrived. The sales agent I'd dealt with was off that day but had been in Monday and Tuesday. 2+ hours of driving for nothing. When I finally managed to reach the sales agent, after numerous messages left on his voice mail, he didn't give a damn. He started telling me stories about other customers who'd experienced longer delays and ultimately received mismatched flooring, as if somehow this was supposed to make me feel better. He refused to refund the money I'd paid for expedited delivery, saying that's what he'd put on the order so I had to pay for it even if I didn't receive the service. My advice is to avoid this place unless you've always wanted to sue someone in small claims court. They don't value your business so why give it to them.

Met with Steve (owner) and had a great service and knew his products very well. Knowledge is key to selling and they did a fantastic job doing so. I will go back there for sure as they are now offering rubber gym flooring. Nice touch!

After looking at both big box home renovation stores and another tile/flooring store and coming up empty-handed, I came here looking for odd sized tiles for a repair. The staff were friendly, professional and had what I was looking for! Excellent service and selection.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I bought vinyl wood flooring for my basement which turned out to be too dark. The flooring was not installed and in the original boxes. I had hoped to exchange it for something lighter coloured. Flooring Canada agreed as long as I chose from the same manufacturer. I tried to do this but everything I picked became $2000 more for some unexplained reason. I even picked a cheaper one but was told I would then have to pay $2,000 for foam backing which I had to buy from them if I wanted to make the exchange. I was happy to pay the freight and any restocking fees but I could have had a genuine hard wood floor for less than the vinyl. Clearly they just wanted me to keep what I initially ordered and go away. Some potential buyers came into the store and I was then lectured by the salesperson ( Andre) about not making an appointment to discuss the exchange. Since when does one need an appointment at a flooring store? I was then abandoned in favour of a possible new commission. I will never buy anything from this store again. Maybe one day the market will turn and these businesses will be forced to provide better customer service.

I am building a house and have been dealing with literally hundreds of stores and trades and this was by far my most frustrating and belittling experience. I was looking for 1 box of tiles to match exciting tiles I bought on Kijiji. Steve (VP) called me back, confirming he had my tiles. Upon arriving the tile wasn't the right size, which he knew but he reasonably asked that I come to the store to confirm the colour. The right size was at their other warehouse and would be delivered the next day. Ok, no big deal - I have to go twice in 2 days to get the tiles I need. The Vice President then told me that each box came with 40 tiles and charged me for the square footage for 40 tiles. I told him that it was strange as my boxes of the same tiles came with 25 tiles - which is all I needed - but ok, I paid for 40 tiles. Next day, I picked up the box and sure enough, it contains 25 tiles not 40. When I asked for a refund for the difference, Steve told me that was the price, no refund and walked away. After calculating the square footage of the box, I was overcharged approx. $25 - again, no big deal in the grand scheme of things but if they do that for every customer, it adds up! Be careful - I will never deal with that company ever again.

Recommend you use Andre as your flooring consultant - great advice and help. Product (hardwood( was perfect and arrived on time and schedule. Had a small problem with the vent portion of the order, but Flooring Canada took care of it and refunded me the money so install could continue. All in all a very satisfied customer.

Needed to replace some hard wood and vinyl floors. They had lots of options to choose from, the in-store sales man, the in-home measurement guy, and the two installers that came to the house all did an excellent job in a timely manner. The final install was flawless. Would recommend their services to family/friends.

We dealt with Flooring Canada last week to upgrade our second floor from carpet to hardwood. They provided us with a quote we felt was fair and proceeded to give a 50% deposit and book the measuring appointment. My husband is quite handy and had measured the floor himself to have an idea before hand of the square footage.After the measuring appt, we were informed the space was actually 100 sqft larger than our measurements.I asked to see the plans and their numbers and it occured to me that they had accounted for the closets twice and three times each by squaring off each rooms. The hallway where the stairs are was squared off like a giant room.They wanted to charge us over 1K $ more and refused to admit their measurements were faulty. They tried to pass these overmeasurements off as the waste cuts but also added 10% on top of it.We are going with another, more honest company.Dont deal with André. He comes off as a nice guy trying to give you a good deal but he is wasting your time.

We worked with Steve to purchase new floors (LVP) and tiles for our house. Amazing service and very knowledgeable staff. We also got better prices here compared to other stores. Would highly recommend.

We bought solid hardwood, tile, and cork flooring from Flooring Canada. The quality of all of the products has been excellent (3 years of use). There was one issue with the tile installation, but they had it corrected the following day. Great products, great customer service.
