Dr. Black & Associates Optometrists

I had an appointment on the weekend with Dr. Black that required a follow up visit. Since I am a homemaker and could only been seen in the evenings or on the weekend, he told me to come to his associate’s office he also works out of in Ajax the following Monday at 6pm. After driving out there I called from the parking lot to let them know of my arrival, only to find out he never told that office I was coming so I was never booked in. Not only were there other patients waiting to be seen, he was running behind as well, so the receptionist couldn’t even tell me how long I’d be waiting.

Fantastic, friendly, professional...my whole family sees Dr. Black and staff. The level of care and commitment is beyond great!

This doctor " is a disgrace to optometry !When i turned 40 (5yrs ago) i went to see " doctor" Black for an eye exam. He concluded the exam by telling me that i was near sighted and also needed bi- focals ! When he learned that i had a very good employee benefit pakage he walked me out to his room where he had glasses on display and told me " since you need bi-focals aswell as corrective lenses i'll give you 50% of your second pair"I highly doubted his opinions so i booked and exam with a different optometrist and was told i had 20/20 vision. 2 years later i saw an ophthalmologist at the Richmond hill hospital for an injury i sustained and was again told that i absolutely did not need glasses and had perfect vision !!!Its now been 5 years and i STILL do NOT require any sort of corrective eyewear.STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY. He simply wants to try and sell you glassesP.s he must sell alot of glasses and give alot of fake prescriptions to afford that Janguar he has parked out back. Just sayin !"

I've been going here for maybe 3 years now, have never been disappointed. The atmosphere and staff are extremely welcoming and very helpful with their guidance and advice. The ladies behind reception were very kind and patient with me as I was picky on what style to get and the Optometrist was extremely knowledgeable and even provided me with information that I didn't know about for regular check ups and such. Overall with definitely be coming back and recommend!

Our family has been long time patients of Dr. Black and we have always been fully satisfied with everyone in this office. Angela and Fatima are helpful, professional and welcoming. Dr. Black is trustworthy, personable and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dr. Black and Associates for thorough eye exams and quality glasses/contact lenses.

Woke up and my eyelid swollen like a inch top and bottom with infection. Wont even give me 10 minutes of theyre day to write me a perscription. I ser this as medical neglect. As they are full with appointment they said. We If its a appointment its not a emergency. I could go blind from infection but okay make sure your appointment have 20 20 vision.

The quality of the glasses, the attention of the employees and especially the service provided by Dr. Black left me very satisfied.

The staff is always super helpful, and they have great promos for getting a second set of frames. Amazing styles, always super helpful!!
