Midway Appliance Service Ltd

It has taken over six months to not get my appliance repaired. Frigidaire contracted this company to come repair my microwave. The technician ordered the parts and when I was called to have the parts installed I was informed they were the wrong parts. The company then said they were ordering more parts. Today, over 2 months later, when I spoke with Frigidaire - Midway appliance said they don’t have any record of me whatsoever. I’m not sure what’s going on with his company and I hate leaving a bad review, however, this is beyond comprehension. Poorly run and unorganized.

The experience that I had with this company was extremely disappointing and beyond frustrating. The receptionist who books the appointments is extremely rude and argumentative. I booked and rebooked 4 appointments. The initial appointment was fine for him to diagnose the problem. I was told he'd be back in 3 days to repair it....no show, no phone call. I phoned that day and am told I have to book an appointment so I do so for the following week, again, no show and no call. I call again and am told by the same lady that he would come that morning before noon. I call again by 3 pm for her to tell me that she ordered the wrong part which is why he didn't come ( but they didn't bother to contact me about it). She then told me I needed to book another appointment and I told her that I should be the first priority at this point since I had stayed at home for 3 days waiting for this guy to show up. She booked me for the next morning at 9 AM but the tech did not show up until 11:30 and literally took less than 10 mins to replace the part. When I explained my side to him and how I felt about their customer service, he did not care one bit nor did the lady I spoke to on the phone. In my opinion, when you are dealing with customers, I still believe in the saying the customer is always right". I was told otherwise to my face by the technician in my house.What a joke of a company this place is and I strongly recommend that anyone steers clear of them!!"

Update. Warranty work was Misdiagnosed and now we have been put on the backburnerfrom Midwest. One technician servicing central alberta for LG Warranty. 18 day's without a fridge. Terrible communication from Midwest.

It has been over a year and many appointments but Midway Appliance still has not fixed this dishwasher. I am now going back to Askow to reassign request to fix.

They have done a great job for us on keeping our appliances in tip top shape.

Horrible experience. We are very patient and understanding people but our patience ran out with them. Finally after 8 weeks our fridge was fixed. Started out with ordering the wrong part, rude staff on the phone, not showing up for appointments and actually booking us an appointment for a week their office was going to be closed and didn’t bother to call us to rebook for a different date, they just didn’t show up. When the correct part and person finally showed up, it only took 30 minutes to fix. Would never use them again!

The office receptionist was belligerent and condescending on the phone. She made no attempt to be patient or kind. Find another appliance repair company. General appliance in Lacombe has treated me much better.

Only game in town for appliance warranty work. Only reason they’re still in business. This is not how you reinstall a dishwasher after repair. You’d think you’d know how after doing it a few times

It cost me 88.20 to have the tech come tell me my washer sounded rough. He told me to get a new washer because repairs would cost too much. Billed me and left. I wont be using this service anymore.
