The best handmade pasta you can get, not to mention the pizza! Impeccably fresh and flavourful! Service is friendly and fast. My favorite Italian restaurant in all of Vancouver!

The Golden Boot
Subosedly got rave reviews from friends at the Italian Cultural Centre but we were not impressed. Apparently a popular place as reservations are difficult. The atmosphere doesn't vibe Italian, per se..dark interior, lacked coziness. The cocktails were ok as were our wine choices. The caprese salad was ok, basic small slices of mozzarella on the tomato but nothing special. Have had much better. My lasagna was very good tho. Large portion, nice tomato sauce and tasted good, so kudos there, but my wife's carbonara was Not good..even after a second attempt at improving it. Al dente is fine, but not undercooked as this pasta was plus a bland, flavorless sauce was disappointing. We finished dinner with a couple of cappuccinos. It was an experience we had to try because of the recommendations, but there are other Italian restaurants we have frequented that are better. Se la vie.Maybe another time.. chi lo sa.!

Pleasantly surprised on our first try here as I read some mixed reviews. The homemade pastas were fresh and tasty. We arrived right around opening on a long weekend and service was quick and attentive. The waiter made some good recommendations/suggestions and went out of the way to interact with our 3 year old. That was the cherry on top to an enjoyable dinner out. The restaurant filled up quickly so I would make a reservation next time.

Pizzas were pretty good, I had the prosciutto with arugula as well as the spinach with cheese pizzas (Victoria pizza). I definitely preferred the prosciutto and arugula's more complex tastes.I also tried the pasta with shrimp. The pasta was okay, quite a decent amount of shrimp. The only issue I had with the pasta was that the shrimp was a bit mushy. Wasn't as fresh as I would have liked and freshness really makes a huge difference in seafood. Pasta had a bit of spice as well... For me, I would definitely recommend sticking to the pizza rather than the pasta.Quite a few people visit here to have wine and chat there. Definitely a more casual environment, overall quite enjoyable.

It’s the staff that top this 5 star review. I really love friendly genuine staff from small restaurants like this that make the night great. The white wine sauce and mussels were delicious.

We are frequent customers, both in the restaurant and take-out. Food is always consistant and great tasting. Staff are warm, friendly and professional, especially Manwella.

The Service was superb A+. The Caprese Salad was a 2/10 what a mess honestly I would be embarrassed serving this dish. The free bread was nothing special. On the other hand the Napoli Pizza was great no complaints. For the main dishes we ordered gnocchi and vodka penne. The gnocchi came out looking like slop on a plate no garnish just an ugly plate of pasta fortunately the dish was tasty. Lastly the Vodka Penne. The presentation was better but still came out like slop on a plate. They charge a decent amount and I would expect a better effort in the presentation. In addition the portion sizes were not good. One plate of pasta wouldn’t fill you up. Come on man your Nona would give you the wooden spoon for serving portions this small. There’s no pride in the food they’ve become complacent. The tomatoes were not heirlooms they’re the cheap ones you get from superstore and the cheese was rubber and the dish was bland. The best part of the meal was the service.
