Walker Road Animal Hospital

What an amazing animal hospital, we brought our 11 week old puppy in because my other dog went after him and they were incredible, they got him in right away made sure he was all set and happy! I was bleeding and hurt and they even made sure I was taken care of as well! 100% recommend this animal hospital!

We recently had to put out cat Missy to sleep, the team at Walker road Animal hospital were fantastic. They were super understanding and compassionate. We actually just received a hand written card from the team expressing that they are thinking of us during this time and they actually made a donation to the Oscar fund in memory of our Missy. Thank you Walker Road team, we will definitely be going to you guys from now on. Cannot thank you all enough for your kindness.

So glad Walker Rd AH is available when other vets are closed and I didn't know what was wrong. Walk-in and weekends are Definitely only for emergency situations or unknown things that can't wait til the weekend is over. I got there at 12:00 noon on a Saturday and waited until 1:30am for any diagnosis which was stressful because they are not very communicative and can't give a time estimate because its the only place open and new pet emergencies just keep coming. They do ✅ the animal (take cats to area in the back with a litter) and understandably take urgent needs in first. Follow up x-ray appts on a weekday were prompt and everyone was kind. Thankfully The cat is well again!❤️ It's a shame that animal hospitals are short handed, I can't imagine how much more stress that adds on vets when people are worried about their little family members.

I brought my cat in emergency hours. Respiratory issues. These people did nothing for my cat, they didn't even diagnose him. I have all the paperwork, combined with what I got the next day from another vet. These people are negligent. The vets I found to be very rude in a very scary time. The problem with this place is that you will not recieve the same service you will reasonably be receiving at another vet. We'll be pursuing this in any avenue we can to hold the vet accountable this isn't about the money we spent. It's about the fact that if it's not perceived as an emergency " it will not be looked at

So far with my little kitty Bella, I’ve come in for a wellness check, got fixed up with some antibiotics and came in for three weight checks. Next month is her first vaccinations. All the staff are such wonderful beings!! Caring and empathetic and all lovers of animals. I highly recommend coming here.

We had to take our pet for an emergency. As luck would have it, it was afterhours for our normal vet. They were not too busy when we arrived and they were able to assess the situation quickly.They laid out the options and costs for the situation. Gave us very direct advice and guidance. We opted to have the procedure done and our pet was in the hospital for two days. During those two days they were very hands on, and provided regular updates. In addition, we could call and see how he was doing.Post procedure the vet reviewed the medication and what to look out for. They showed us how to give the medicine to our pet. They did forward the info to our regular Vet . He has successfully recovered.They have plenty of parking. The only comment I would make is depending on the time, it could get busy.

Have been attending Walker Road Animal Hospital for over 20 years. Their emergency care is outstanding. Drs. Kaye and DeLuca are incredibly competent, compassionate and professional. Their staff are always on the ball and their office manager is lovely to deal with. Highly recommend. Only 24 hourEmergency Facility in South Western Ontario so their will likely be a “wait” time.

Took my beloved 18 year old cat, Riley here. The staff were exemplary. They’re absolutely wonderful and I couldn’t ask for a more compassionate end of life for my kitty. Seriously, I can’t say enough good things about them to do them any sort of justice. They treat you so well while you have to deal with a heartbreaking situation. They have my sincere thanks and I will be seeing them again for care of my other animals.

Good for animals in clear, serious distress whom are (appropriately) given priority and high levels of time consuming care in the back rooms. This is the only 24 animal E.R from Windsor to Guelph.After initial triage, if pet health is stable, there is an hours long wait time to be seen by the veterinarian. Keep this in mind before going there after hours. May be better to just wait for regular vet to open if pet is not in obvious distress.
