Ontrack Data Recovery

Always had success dealing with OnTrack. Sometimes it take a bit more time to get the job done. But if you are willing to pay the $ they will get it done for you.

I have had two experiences with OnTrack, both were very positive even though the outcome of one of the experiences was not what we'd hoped. The first experience, I had a damaged SSD that I wanted recovered, but, unfortunately, I was told that the drive was unrecoverable. OnTrack were very sensitive about it (it's hard to hear your photos are gone forever) and thoroughly explained why they were unable to recover the data and what they believed had happened.(Backstory: I had sent this drive to another company before I sent it to OnTrack, on the recommendation of a coworker, and, that company was unable to recover any data after having the SSD for almost 8 weeks. After talking to OnTrack, I believe this other company damaged the drive further, which prevented any data from being recovered period. Since I can't prove this other company damaged the drive, I haven't left a review for that company. BUT, OnTrack were great and the issue was not with them (they got back to me within hours of having received the drive so I don't think it was them that broke it).)The second drive I sent them was an HD from an Apple Time Capsule that had failed some years back. They were able to fully recover the data and did it in record time. Thank you OnTrack for your hard work and for my data :)

I had an external hard drive that got damaged. It was priceless having over 10 years of baby and family photos including photos of my dying dog. After having difficulty with other companies, Ontrack not only recovered my data, recovered more than expected, faster than expected, and for much less expensive than any other company. I was so worried and they patiently answered all of my questions about the process. I'm so grateful. Definitely a trustworthy and good value company.

Ok, as an individual facing the complete factory restart of my phone, which I foolishly had not backed-up (I know, I know), it took me a couple of months to find and decide to take a chance on this service. I was a fool to wait so long and I only wish more people knew about this company. The only reason I found them is because I refused to leave the Apple Store until they gave me a glimmer of hope. The manager wrote the name of the company down on a literal tiny scrap of paper. The service is not cheap, but I know it’s a complicated procedure with a special room and I am happy I got all of my data and photos back. I hope they can bring the price down for individuals and somehow get the phone companies onboard to let people know this option exists.

I was so heartbroken when I realized that my external hard drive was not working anymore. My wedding video was on there as well as all of my kids pictures from the time they were babies. Ontrack was able to recover most of my data! They respond to messages quickly and their online check in portal was awesome as I was always able to check in on where they were at in my data recovery process. I totally recommend them!!

As far as Hard-drive recovery goes, they do as advertised. We had a drive that had been sitting for a while and had a broken needle. It managed to get most of it. The only complaint was that they didn't keep us up to date on the status of the process. They had it for awhile(about a month), but the status that you check on the website, never really changed. When I inquired, it was a borderline snarky reply. Aside from that, our experience with them was mostly positive.

Great service, far less expensive than other data recovery services I'd been pointed to. They also let you review the files before you commit to a recovery, and will charge the same regardless of recovery complexity or storage size. Would highly recommend their services over other similar companies performing the same
