The Old Third Vineyard

Spotted this beautiful place on our way to a lavender farm and fell in love with it on our first sight! So glad we spotted it, this place serves the best pasta, have the warmest host and have some pretty amazing wine options. This passes the vibe check so well! Really wonderful place if you are around the area. A must go!! You would love it! Making a note to myself to come next time I visit the country.

Probably the most beautiful winery I’ve ever visited.A converted old barn, they’ve created some amazing spaces through split levels. From dark little nooks to sun drenched indoor benches and couches, you won’t find a bad spot in here.They only had two wines to try and although the Riesling wasn’t my favourite ever, the setting in the afternoon sun made it a great experience.

A great place for a quick bite and a glass of riesling wine. We tried the truffles, ravioli and caprese salad and all 3 dishes were great and tasty. Paid about CAD100 for the 3 dishes and 3 glasses of riesling wine. Tables are available indoors (3 levels) or outdoors (weather permitted). Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Even if you want to sit, eat and drink for a while, this place is highly suggested.

love this place, I would definitely recommend! friendly staff and a beautiful barn with lots of character. the unoaked chardonnay is definitely my favourite and have this place as my top visit! only seasonal so make sure to come before winter!

Fresh pasta and wine how can you go wrong.The Old Third is a great winery. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it met all expectations.Food:The fresh pasta was delicious. Lemon ricotta ravioli were great.Ambience:Quiet and peaceful. Sitting upstairs is great, specifically by the bar top where you have a great view of the vineyards.Wine:Overall good no complaints.Service:Overall good as well.Value:Wine tasting (3 glasses) and a plate of pasta, under $40 which is fair and worth it as it was good.Would definitely re-visit.

Superlative Pinot, the finest cab, and easily the most refined cider in the county - probably Canada.Restaurant serves homemade pastas in a gorgeously renovated barn. This is an essential stop for anyone visit Prince Edward county.Gets very busy during the weekends at peak hours! Plan accordingly

Decent pasta, but very small serving for over $20 a plate. Only two wines available and very overpriced for quality, $60 a bottle. The atmosphere in the old barn was nice. I Wouldn't return.

We came here for their pop up dinner and had a great time. Food was delicious, just wished the pasta portions were a little bigger. Service was a bit slow but everyone was so friendly. Enjoyed the chardonnay.

Fabulous pasta options and the most lovely people who clearly have a passion for what they prepare for their guests. Today I had the prettiest dish Rabbit Ragu - truly could have chosen anything that would have made my mouth water!

The Old Third Vinyard is located on the fabulous Closson Road in a beautifully repurposed and comfortable large historic barn. Mario and the crew at The Old Third Vinyard are absolutely amazing. We visited on the last day this year 2021 for homemade pasta and it was a real treat. There were a number of scrumptious pasta dishes to choose from. Everyone in our group tried something different and we were all thrilled. Again some tried the wine and others the cider. All the beverages were fantastic. Mario's grandfather ran a cidery in Normandy France and he would be very pleased that his grandson is following in his traditions and crafts. Beside the barn are containers full of fresh russet apples that are the necessary ingredient for their distinctive cider. They don't mess with perfection by adding unnecessary flavours. Come for the wine. Come for the cider. Come for the food. Come for the adventure. There is indoor and outdoor seating and it is dog friendly too.
