Southgate Shopping Centre

Worst parking lot, one way is not labeled. Small parking spaces. There is only one way out. Access is very limited.

Like being back home only this is not my home anymore. Storage unit n some businesses bring me back. Great bus system for this area South of town. Only one bus ride to get all the way to Woodgrove mall!Great shopping businesses here in lil Chase River. I love the area having lived in South Nanaimo most of my life.

Overall very nice and clean. It may be in an area that isn’t that nice, but you don’t feel any of it within the confines of the strip mall. Driving here can be confusing and frustrating as it feels like there are stop signs every 10 seconds but I guess it keeps us safe. Parking is never an issue.

Didn't go anywhere in the shopping center except for Smitty's. Had a good experience there. Visited twice over the winter.

My sister works at the grocery store here. That's why it is marvelous.

Good place with lots of variety. Never had a problem. Tim Hortons can get very busy, but that is expected. Mia Pizza owner is really good. I ordered a pizza in a storm and could not pick it up, I called him and picked it up the next day. He gave me half off because he felt bad he had no drivers to deliver it to me. All around great place. Dollar store owners are good people, I needed a bell for my cat, it was like a dollar and forgot my card, they just gave it to me. Never tried Mary Browns. Rexall staff are always great.My only concerns are the hedges that boarder the roads. They are too high, and it's hard to see if there are vehicles coming, even if you are stopped. And there is a completely faded out stop sign if you are near the exit facing the Petro-Can, this will be a liability at some point.

The lifelab girls are a well-oiled machine. I didn't have to wait very long. Very friendly.

Has everything you need at one place. Parking can be a slight headache but other than that worth it if you can handle crowds.
