Been camping here since the 80's and, although it's gotten much busier, it's still my favorite in BC. Beautiful sites, clean bathrooms with hot showers, and perfect beaches. We were here 2 weeks before the fire in August, 2015 and this is our first year back since. It was a surreal experience entering the park and seeing the destruction, but the lower sites haven't changed at all. The upper campground saw most of the damage, but there is beautiful new growth happening already. The new flowers have brought in more birds than I have ever seen here.

Had a fantastic stay. Facilities were excellent. Showers at the central washroom facilities were clean and hot. Multiple flush toilets that were clean and well maintained throughout the camp were a bonus instead of just pit toilets. Fantastic being close to the river. Kids bike park and playground were great. Honestly had a great time and plan to return.

We are super happy and surprised at how clean this provincial site was. The bathrooms and showers were kept immaculate and they were the cleanest we have seen at a camp site. The camp hosts are super friendly and very knowledgeable of the area and we're very helpful at addressing our needs while we stayed for the week. The generator rules were a huge plus so we didn't have to sit and listed to running engines all day.We will be making this a regular camping spot every year for sure.

Washrooms are unbelievably clean and park staff are super friendly. Excellent family friendly slow river to float down with awesome scenery. Super relaxing space.

Great for families and beginner campers. Lots of space to roam, a very nice float and swim river, running potable water, flushing toilet outhouses, shower facilities, close to civilization so to speak. Not a lot of privacy (especially in the fire-damaged area), and tent surfaces are more rock geared to RVs than fine gravel.

It was good and alll but why did I put 4 stars? Well it's because I was riding at the bike park and I kept going slow which caused me to skim myself. Same thing to the beginner one.

What a great campground! Spotless flush toilets sprinkled around with some pits. Our nearest pit toilet was freshly painted and odorless. Lovely hot showers near the entrance. A newish kids playground with a child size bike park beside it. The KVR bike path goes right through the campground. Also easy access to the river at a couple of locations. The river was a bit high but it is run off season. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that there is some water in low lying areas that create mud bowls on a couple of the paths to the toilets...needs some gravel. Also there are lots of mosquitoes that favour that area as well. That should correct as the summer progresses. Beautiful scenery and very quiet. Loved our 3 night stay.

In June, avoid the riverside sites due to mosquitoes. Clean bathrooms. Welcoming hosts & hard working camp employees. Dramatic landscape w nearby evidence of the forest fire that raged thru in 2015. Camping sites are well spaced from each other, lush understory under tall pines. Great example of our tax dollars at work.

Great place to camp. There are non reservable sites available at the west end of the campground. Almost all of the outhouses are flush toilets and there is a shower house that is free. They have a dirt jump park for bikes by the playground and the trans-canada trail runs right by the campground for long trail rides on your bike. Past the east end of the campground is a small sandy beach by the river and is a good place for swimming. A fire went through the area in 2015 which encroached on the west end of the area but most of the park was saved.

Absolutely beautiful rec site. Park workers are super friendly and so very helpful in every regard. Great shower facilities, super clean flush toilets and pit toilets, on the kettle valley trail so great walks in every direction. Hope no one reads this as I want this as our personal site!!!
