The staff at Choice Memorial Rocky View were extremely professional. They answered the many many questions we had as we planned the cremation and the service in their chapel.The funeral home staff gave us the time and space we needed with our loved one.The day before the service, we were allowed to test keyboard and sound system for the service. More chairs were added to accommodate overflow before we arrived the day of the service.The service went with not one problem and the reception was set up in a very timely fashion.The staff at Choice Memorial took care of the guests, with coffee, tea and juice. They put out the luncheon and ensured it was filled as needed. They took care of everything so the family could visit and share memories with the people who came.The staff took special care of the family throughout the planning etc. but the day of the service they went above and beyond making sure the family was cared for.I would highly recommend Choice Memorial Rocky View.

We experienced a parent's worst nightmare upon learning of the sudden death of our daughter. We left Toronto for Calgary feeling overwhelmed and anxious, not knowing what awaited us, and at a loss as to how we were going to manage with what lay ahead. We needn't have worried. The team at Rocky View gently guided us through the whole process from cremation, to the memorial service and the completion of numerous government forms with care, kindness, professionalism, patience and an enormous attention to detail. I cannot recommend this funeral home more highly, we placed ourselves in their hand, they turned our nightmare into something manageable, and we left Calgary for Toronto feeling at peace.

I contacted Choice Memorial to hold a reception for the Celebration of Life following the interment of our parents. From the initial contact through to working with our assigned director, Lori, I was impressed with the level of professionalism received. Her numerous recommendations made at the original meeting through to the last minute suggestions ensured all of our families needs were met. We used the catering company recommended by Choice Memorial and were pleased with the freshness and presentation of the foods we selected. Jenny, the server provided, saw to everyone's food and beverage requirements, while keeping the area clean and presentable. The photo montage we prepared for the event ran effortlessly on their video and sound system. Lori was present throughout the whole event, beginning at the graveside for the service until the last of us departed from the chapel after the reception. It is never easy saying goodbye to loved ones, but having such a caring and compassionate team assisting with all aspects made an emotional time, far less challenging.Planedin Family

I am so pleased we chose Choice Memorial for our needs!!When my husband died we wanted a very simple cremation with no service. We checked a couple of funeral homes. The first one we called, no one answered and we had to leave our number for callback. When they called they could not give us a price saying it depended on many things. The first thing they did was try to upsell us on things we felt we didn’t need.When I clicked on the Choice Memorial link, the price and what was included was plainly posted and it was very reasonable. We called and spoke with Lorne. He was very professional and respectful. All of our dealings were with him. When we went to the viewing it was Lorne’s day off, but he was there!!Lorne helped with all government forms needed by CRA regarding pensions. He supplied me with 10 original death certificates and said if I needed more there would be no charge.I wholeheartedly recommend using Choice Memorial when your need arises and I hope you will have very little need of their services.

Planning my dad’s funeral was by no means a fun experience of course. However from the very first conversation till the end of the burial Lori and her team at Choice Memorial were nothing short of gracious, patient, empathetic, and compassionate towards my family throughout this difficult time of our lives. The loss of my father felt like the worst thing that could happen to us but they really took time to ensure our needs were met. Lori and her team are very friendly and supportive and I’m so grateful for all they did for my family and I . My family and I all live outside Calgary but they made the whole process very easy and efficient. Thank you so much for everything. We truly appreciate you.

I wish there were more stars to give.Believe it or not, contacting a funeral home before your loved one passes is a very hard thing to do!We called Choice and Lori took our call. From then on Lori was ready to help us with any inquiry we had. Anyone we spoke with was polite, considerate, and helpful. I worked with Karen as we figured out pictures, and the Memorial cards. Karen was always prompt with her replies and she had contacts she could call upon if I had a concern about things.On the day of our Celebration Lori helped with all the small details such as slide shows, flower placements, any further inquires we had. Norm was also there to help on the day. He was so courteous to everyone who came thru the door. We also had a lovely person help with the luncheon and I apologize for not remembering her name.We are very grateful to Lori and her staff for all the care and help they provided us.We had called another highly recommended Funeral service first and they give us faulty information. We were very frustrated by them.

Lori, Lorne and Karen were very supportive, compassionate and tried their best to be culturally sensitive and responsive to our emails/phone calls, and provided helpful guidance and professional as we were working out various details. My only wish was that the chapel venue could be larger to accommodate more people, currently it is a maximum of 70 people. Maybe a future expansion.

The exceptional care, compassion and support that ALL the staff at Choice Memorial showed our entire family was exemplary. We have used two other funeral homes in Calgary, and we have used Choice Memorial twice. There is absolutely no comparison for price, attention to detail and incredible support and compassion. Everyone went over and above the call of duty to make sure all the paperwork, the service, the burial and the reception flowed smoothly. We cannot recomment them highly enough! Dealing with a sudden death is hard, and the team at the Choice Memorials location in Rocky View went above and beyond to make honoring my nephews life as pain free as possible. I had the opportunity to work with Lori, Karen, Lisa and Lorne, and they did such a great job of honoring our requests, taking care of his curly hair, and procuring the casket we wanted. When my Father passed years ago, we had a much different and more expensive experience with a different company and I’m so grateful that we were able to give my nephew the send off he deserved. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to the team at Choice Memorials.

It's always hard to choose what Funeral home you will use for your services. What's to much to pay or to little and will it reflect in the service's you receive. After reading all the Funeral home websites we were left with unanswered questions and still not knowing the actual price of the service's without a request email. Then we came across Choice Memorial's web site, well laid out easy to follow and no mystery about the price and what services you would receive. Some of the other places had extra cost for picking up your loved one at night or on weekends and some only gave you a couple of death certificates and you pay if you want more. Choice Memorial picked my Mom up at 2am in the morning within an hour of receiving our call. With two very nice respectful employees who transported my Mom with care. And when I went to the funeral home to do the paperwork I left with atleast 10 Death Certificates and more if I needed them for no extra cost. The staff were fantastic and We left happy that we picked Choice Memorial to help us. I would not hesitate to recommend them in your time of need.
