Unkind environment. The staff was sharp when speaking to me as a customer. They asked us if we needed help, but, with a condescension tone. The supervisor was non responsive when I asked her how her day was going. Staff at other locations are very kind and considerate about how they speak to customers. The environment here felt condescending, with an undertone of racism. I bring race up because I’m native/indigenous…. And it felt like because of my race I was dismissed.

I went in for boots for work. The reason for the 3 stars is the manager (I think manager). She is around my age ish (I’m 45… she looked to be 50 ish). She was pretty obviously miserable with her job. I walked up to the till to pay and she was very annoyed with my presence and ignored me. She glared at the other employees and than said “I guess I’ll help you” . She than said “final sale” with the most angry face ever. Finally the much nicer younger employee came and finished my sale. This woman most definitely hates her job. I have never seen such an unhappy employee. My fiancé was in there last week so when I got home I mentioned this person and he described her and said “ she most definitely hates people and her job” . Maybe she needs time off? Whatever it is wow. I see MANY reviews about rude staff. Maybe it’s time to do something about it?

Had help until another customer came in. The sales person returned from checking inventory and called to me across the room they didn't have any in my size and immediately turned to a customer that just arrived without asking if I needed anything else. I had to find someone else on a different floor to help me. Ironically, the male customer didn't buy anything.

The staff at Ono, are all amazing dedicated and very knowledgible about the products they sell. Return shopper for sure

Always an easy, friendly experience. They made a warranty return super simple. Not to mention, they always have the best prices on workwear, even better than online for most items.

Rude sales clerk barged into a conversation I was having with my partner. I was trying on boot inserts with a sock on and was informed that due to althelets foot i wasn't allowed to try on. I was then questioned about my shoe size and said I needed a 9 -10 she disagreed! I quickly informed my partner that our time and money would be better spent at a competitors business. I won't set foot in this establishment again.

A wonderful selection of work and safety gear a great price! I was able to get a pocket CPR mask for half the price here then I would at other locations, and same great quality! Helpful and wonderful staff as well

I would like to update this to say that the owner got ahold of me and could not have been more helpful. This is clearly a case of one disgruntled employee and not reflective of the company. I would encourage all to shop at the Surrey location or online. Was a pleasure to see their amazing store and Ben the owner had this corrected right away.

Awesome store, well laid out, and friendly staff. I was immediately greeted when I got in, and was asked if I was looking for anything specific. I was able to find the respirators, cartridges, and everything else I needed quite quickly thanks to the help. I did my research before coming in and the prices were comparable to the competition, but Ono had a much better selection for sizes and models.

These guys put their prices up just to have a sale to the point only a couple bucks were saved.The last few pairs of boots I’ve bought here have fallen apart in a few months.I’m a long time customer, but I will not be returning any more.
