I would highly recommend Elm Law. All the ladies were a pleasure to work with. I worked with Lidia the majority of the time and found her to be very honest, great with communication and prompt responses. Also very understanding of working within a budget to achieve the best outcome possible.

I have to start by thanking Leslie Shipticki for ger professionalism and dedication in her ability to direct me. I understand the current situation and unfortunately I was not able to retain a lawyer from your firm but I had to write this from the bottom of my heart. Leslie recently I haven't had the great interaction or support from even my close friends and this is the unfortunate true but the firm you work for is and will always understand you are a diamond in the rough to me. I could not thank you enough and I understand if the first contact is you in the firm that the lawyers MUST be the best. I would highly recommend Elm Law. My case was handled by Priyanka and Christina. They are very knowledgable in my opinion. I was happy with their recommendations and strategy. I decided not to proceed with my case, but nevertheless, they refunded my left over retainer with no problems.I mention this because, I had a lawyer for my past divorce who after the case was done did not return my left over retainer but instead billed hours that I believe he did not do work on.Therefore, I trust this office, I know they won’t rip me off. Trust is very important in a lawyer-client relationship. I will definitely use them for my future legal needs. I highly recommend avoiding this law firm; and here's why.Initial visit: My lawyer at the firm recommended filing an emergency order with the courts instead of working things out through a mediator. So it was immediately in the courts. This cost a substantial amount of money due to hearings, filings, motions etc.Court: It seemed we were completely unprepared despite being the applicant. This was probably one of the worst experiences of my life; we were completely obliterated in court! My lawyer couldn't defend basic attacks' on my character that weren't even remotely accurate. It felt as though the lawyer had zero emotion towards my case and didn't care if I won or lost.First conclusion: I was hammered with everything, I mean I lost it all, I went from having custody, a business, decision making etc to being absolutely hammered. I ended up only being able to see my children 2 weekends a month, to paying substantial support on hook for medical, sports and having my business ran through on a application she advised me to do!!and it didn't stop there, the firm ran up the account into really really high numbers, every text call email they kept billing and billing like the loss was a blessing and opportunity to hit a cash cow. It got so bad, the lawyers moved me around and eventually had to drop me over a pregnancy ( I think its called dump trucking) keep in mind I always paid my bill as well.I would have fired them at this point and it would have been the smartest move I made.I took the time to brush up on family law, started doing all my own filings, emails and serving paper work myself. After about a year ( 2 years in total) and doing everything on my own and representing my self at court; I got custody of my kids back I was even given the choices by the judge how to manage custody in my favor. For the past about 5 years I've never had to go back to court. I have the primary decision making for the children, custody and learnt a valuable lesson about representation. Absolutely no thanks to Elm Law.The money I waisted with this firm would have put all my kids (3) through college and university. Using these lawyers damaged me psychologically at first (redeemed myself)! I waited a few years to write this but I couldn't not share my experience.There's not a zero * or it would be a hard smashps. I believe some of the 5* ratings are fake, you can see most have 1 review on google or work for law firms. Do your homework in advance. Frank Perruccio guided me through a very contentious and complicated litigation matter and brought it through to resolution. He demonstrated an uncanny ability to be creative and effective. He was able to squeeze out as favourable a settlement as was possible in the circumstances. He left no stone unturned. He was tough with the other side but empathetic and considerate with me.
