Toured the facility for an upcoming basic woodworking course. Only 8 students per class. Full for the fall so planning to take it in winter session. Looked like they had a well tooled learning area.

What a beautiful hidden gem of the city. Surrounded by a vibrant green park, the art gallery has a frequent turnover of intriguing, thought provoking, and stunning works. I havnt attended a class here since I was a kid, but I know there's always a large variety of artistic and creative experiances to have here. One of my favorite classes I took was using fishbone and liquid silver to create pendants. I'll never forget that opportunity.

This facility is a real gem in this city. I took a woodworking bowl turning class over the weekend and had a blast. The instructor, Paul, was fantastic, engaging and super knowledgable. You owe it to yourself to at least look into the programs offered to see what would peak your interest.

Four generations of our family have gone to the Neil Balkwill Art Centre. My grandmother Hazel McIver was one of the 6 original members of the Rosemont Gallery years ago.My Mom Norma Gross belonged to the Rosemont Gallery as well. Also attended various Art classes at the Neil Balkwill such as:W/C classes with Kim Baxter until she moved to BC.W/C classes with Christian Lynne until she passed away.Different classes with Jack Anderson. Then she zeroed in on oils with Jack Anderson and loved the classes.Until she had to purchase water base oils. Which would mean buying all new paints. In the 2000's there was an Art show in the Balkwill and my Mom was a part of it.She attended many classes that they brought guest Artists such as:Maxine Masterfield from Florida,Judy Betts from Baton Rouge,Nancy O'Toole from BC,7 of Jack Reids classes,Huangs, David Butt.I also took various seminars throughout the years. When my daughter Jessica Glier was younger she took Art classes too.
