KONE Elevators & Escalators of Vancouver

You guys gonna finish the burrard escalators by 2030 or what? Been months and months and ive only seen a few guys work like once every 3 to 4 weeks if that and even so 2 guys are standing around and 1 guy actually doing something.Update june 6,2023.Passed by burrard stn again and 2 guys just standing around at 1130am...no wonder these escalators arent done, staff standing around when theyre there once every 3 to 4 weeks. On jobsites your staff all take hour long breaks twice a day and stand around all day. You wonder why this company gets such bad reviews.

One of their drivers in Kone van shouted obscenities at my husband and I when we couldn’t move our car out of the way to let him turn right (we were stuck at a railway as a train went by). Unprofessional and a terrible reflection on their company. Do better.

Can’t ever seem to fix the issue. Elevator has been down on and off for the whole year (mostly off) when they do fix it a day or two goes by and it’s broken again aka waiting 5+ months for them to even attempt a legit fix. I don’t know how this place is still in business the amount of bad reviews

This company does not deserve the 1 star I have rated them. I cannot believe they are still in business! 4 months since I moved to a new building, 33 floors, 2 elevators and only ONE has been in service this ENTIRE time. Not only that but this is the 3rd or 4th time that both elevators are out of service forcing myself and my family to walk 18 flights of stairs. apparently they are waiting for months on a part to come in from China that will fix the 1 broken elevator but I don't believe for a SECOND that a reputable company would not have access to a different supplier or have a way to expedite the process. First time in my life I do have to agree, I hope this company goes out of service .

An absolutely horrifically operated and managed business. The elevator in our building has now been down for around 13 months. What has Kone done? Try to blame everyone and everything instead of just properly fixing the elevator. In a building with many floors and residents with mobility issues residents have had to be carried up and down floors before or have had to stay stuck in their rooms for days, all because Kone apparently seems incapable of executing their primary function for existing.

They can't seem to fix the elevator in my building. It breaks down once a week, every weekend no matter what they do. It seems to me they do not know how to actually fix an elevator. It also seem very odd that it's always the weekend when it breaks down again. Gee I wonder if they get paid more for service on the weekend? Hmm

I live in a building serviced by KONE Elevator, and for the past 3 years KONE has been UNPREPARED, UNPROFRESSIONAL, and IRRESPONSIBLE with how they leave the building they are supposed to be looking after.They have left our building with only 1 elevator for over 3 weeks.every time they are supposed to be here fixing something, they find an excuse to leave (I just spoke to our concierge to ask where the KONE PEOPLE ARE because it is Tuesday and we have a note on the broken elevator that the KONE PEOPLE are in today and guess what? THEY LEFT EARLY to another site) or a part that is broken needs to be ordered in.This has been an ongoing situation where they do not have parts available and have to order in which takes WEEKS to come in. Leaving our 30+floor apartment in downtown Vancouver the worst building to live in.My first run in was with an extremely racist and unprofessional individual that tried to rev the KONE service truck into where I was standing with my dog.IF you are a developer I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU USE A DIFFERENT ELEVATOR COMPANY.ps. attached is a photo from aug 1st, after 3 weeks of the broken elevatorI WILL attach a note FROM MORE than 3 days ago and attach which says someone will come in today to fix it and guess what? they are not here today WHAT A POS companyPPS. Worst company . I don't know why are strata keeps using them saying they fixed the problem then breaks down couple hours later . Been going on for 5 weeks and still not working always something new that there ordering parts and never works after so called fixed then its another issue but same problem. I don't think they have any idea what there doing.

Most unprofessional and arrogant and rude personal work here. They were fixing the Mainstreet equity elevator. On any of the floors there was no note stating the work is going on. I called the elevator after calling the elevator three times I heard someone saying work is going on. I asked the man if they can al least put a note on the door to let people know that they are working there and he replied very rudely that they put a note there but I didn’t find any note on any of the floors. Even I asked from some other people, they didn’t even see any note there. I will never recommend this kind of company.
