Good place to get small engines serviced, very helpful staff,pleasant atmosphere.

Got my riding lawnmower serviced last year. Cost me over a thousand bucks. I wanted them to check and fix my cutting blades and leveling because of excessive vibration.After getting it back and trying the mower it still was not cutting right. I called them and the guy said to bring it back but wouldn't say if he was going to charge me again. Getting it there required me to get someone with a trailer to take it back and forth . Anyhow, after some frustration on the phone I left it and told him he was not very helpful.After a few days I got a friend to help me raise it up and tried checking the blades. We took off the rotor part and found that the bearings were totally shot. Explains why the blades started fulling off when engaged. WE went and got new ones ,put everything together and wow, it ran great. Cost was roughly $50.00.Something that they should of found. for the 1000.plus bucks it cost me.Would not recommend them.Also took my old chain saw in before that and they said it wouldn't be worth fixing. To buy a new one. Once again I took it to someone else and for 50 bucks it worked. New gas filter and 15 minutes time.Would not recommend.

They fixed my craftsman snow blower earlier than projected. In 2 weeks time. Replaced 2 belts and installed spark plug I bought from them a few days before I brought the snow blower in. I would recommend them to anyone for service and repair of small engines.It is worth the drive from Miller Lake to Owen Sound - to Hastie Small Engines.

These guys know their chain saws. I've bought two saws from them and been very pleased. When I had a problem with one of them they did the repairs under warranty. I was expecting to pay for the repair but they just took care of it. Very pleased with their service.

After the way they have treated me over the years, I would feel guilty going anywhere else. They are polite, extremely knowledgeable and their pricing is beyond fair for the service you get. I highly recommend you purchase and service your equipment at Hastie's. They are an excellent example of the customer service sector with great products and great customer communication.
