This place is a hidden gem. I've been to Kensington plenty of times before but I just stumbled upon this place today. I was first drawn to the books outside the store. Thinking it was a bookstore, I decided to check it out. But then I noticed a lot of jewelry by the front entrance and I further explored the place. I thought: Is this a bohemian jewelry store? What kind of store is this? Then, I came upon endless shelves of books. Every turn I made took me to more books. The store was a maze. I was so impressed with the book collections. I was especially impressed with the business collection. There were business classics that I don't think libraries or bookstores carry anymore. It's likely because they are not hot off the press anymore. But some books are timeless. Other collections were also impressive. I wasn't expecting to stumble into a literary mecca in the middle of Kensington Market. For somebody who loves to read and has witnessed the decay of the second-hand book market, Causa is a gift. I will certainly come back for more another time. There was an assistant at the store who went to great lengths to help me look for a book. Please keep up the good work you are doing. I may not be a jewelry aficionado, but I love your books. Until next time.

Lots of cool stuff, very uncomfortable to have to ask for prices of things as they are not consistent/labeled, and also very expensive

Pretty dissapointed i travel all over and go to crystal shops. This was by far the most expensive shop and it had very few quality pieces. I normally spend hours shopping for my crystals and i left within a couple minutes. Nothing was priced so you need to ask about every individual piece and it was a super uncomfortable experience

One of my favorite used bookstores, though it’s not labelled as such on Google Maps so it’s easy to miss. That’s a shame, because the store is incredibly picturesque, the sort of labyrinthine bookstore you read about in fairytales. They easily have the best selection of foreign-language books in all of Toronto, notably French and Spanish.Expect a typical book to cost $10 — which is fine if it’s a book you want and have been looking for, but somewhat high if you’re just trying something on a whim. There is some room for haggling, especially if you’re getting several books at once. They don’t get new books super-often, but it’s worth dropping by every few months or so.

This place is a hidden gem , super cool store with tons of books, beautiful handmade jewels and crystals, statues etc. The place has the most amazing atmosphere and decor, it feels like something out of this world , the lady seller is very helpful as well.

Clustered, cozy, friendly. Price is pretty average for recycled books. However the collection is a bit hard to navigate, you just have to try your luck when wondering around the shelves.
