I'm a 40 year old, mom who attended the look good feel better workshop today and had a great time. The volunteers were fantastic and the makeup and head wear info was very helpful. I walked away with a full kit of high quality makeup and two cute knit beanies. Thank you Hearth Place.

Changed my life the minute I walked through those doors with a cancer diagnosis. The staff is amazing and so are the programs, groups, wigs and breast prosthetics. Amazing volunteers.

Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre
My experience there is doing volunteer gardening. The Oshawa Garden Club have been working for the past 2 years redoing the gardens after the big Reno. New beds round the parking lot & by the front sign. The front bed & the back garden are totally redone with addition of many new plants. Our hope is that these lovely gardens will greatly enhance the visits here for many cancer patients.

Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre
Nothing but good things to say about Hearth Place. They offer Guidance, information and self help/ group support to name only a few of their services. It’s my favourite charity because I know they help people through a difficult time. Hearth Place don’t have ridiculous overheads and salaries. The money is spent where it’s needed.

Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre
From the first email to the coordinator; to easily arranging an appointment; to walking in the door; to trying on, fitting and getting my new wig the staff were delightful. I really felt they cared and took time to listen. It is difficult facing the challenges that accompany having cancer. But Hearth Place certainly makes you feel special. I felt like a new person leaving there. A special thanks goes out to Barb.

Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre
Hearth Place is such a wonderful place for people who have cancer. The staff have absolutely the best people skills! The programs they run have seemlessly succeeded with going virtual on zoom and the amount of resources they have is abundant. I highly recommend this place for both the care givers as well as the ones with cancer.
