Kingston Motel East

Some rooms have been updated..Clean .. new carpet. .basic.. affordable.. Friendly staff. Ok for 1 night

Booked this room a few weeks ago as it was the last and only room available at the time. The room had a disgustingly weird smell, the bed was uncomfortable, the sheets did not smell clean and the water pressure was extremely low for a shower. Needless to say we had to open all the windows to try to get the disgusting smell out.But the icing on the cake was the shocking extra $100 charge that was put on my credit card for apparent smoking in the room, when there was absolutely no smoking whatsoever. There's a difference in the smell of a room when it is actually being smoked in, as opposed to smoking outside and walking back inside, perhaps with a faint scent of smoke on clothes. Spoke with the lady regarding the extra $100 charged, and got nothing but an argument back, based on the assumption of smoking in the room.For all you Kingston visitors, please avoid this motel at all costs. You will be unfairly charged based on their assumption, not facts.If I could give 0 stars, I would, but it won't let me post otherwise.

Kinda bad, everything very dusty, bed was alright that's it, two lights were out, & seemed like the electricity was browned out, never again!

Staff was very friendly and helped right away, but all lights were dirty. Headboard was dusty and mirrors needed some cleaning . Ashtray outside needed emptied . I cleaned for the Quality Inn and if I had left a room like they clean theirs I would have been fired. It used be nice staying there because there was a pool but it is gone now, and rooms were spotless. Guess the new owner doesn't care.

Great for the price. Had unit closest to owner's. Nice large room. Was some cooking smell and sounds through the wall but certainly not mould as others have said. Great for a passing through stay.

Come to Kingston for summer holidays. Motel East is very clean, affordable and friendly helpful staff. Enjoyed it here, Ten times better than Motel West, dirty carpets, stained sheets and do not dare ask for anything from the front desk, she will bite your head off. Relaxing

Great service, friendly staff. It's not new but it is clean. Spacious ground with mature trees and playground for the kids. Very close to downtown.

Motel is small and a little tired. Clean enough and bedding not too threadbare. After reading reviews previous to my arrival I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. It is a budget motel to be sure but I thought it good value for an overnight stay. I would stay here again.

I Recently visited this motel which was the only thing available on short notice so we decided to go for it instead of driving back. May i say the room stunk like smoke! Yet my partner asked me to not say anything because it was only a night. Customer service sucks the sheets even stunk like dirty laundry and let's add the 100 dollar charge on my master card because apparently we caused the smoke smell :/. I really do not recommend this place unless your desperate! If you can sleep in your car lol.

It was very easy to find, basic and not super clean but very tidy. A/C kept it comfortable but moderate. Bug in shower tub and not much hot water. Comfortable beds.
