Cameron Ocean Adventures

Had an incredible and magical day whale watching with Cameron Ocean Adventures last weekend -- honestly, still buzzing thinking about it.The boat ride itself was super enjoyable -- we saw sea lions and went around some of the Broken Group Islands. And then we saw *the whale*. At first we were all just thrilled seeing it come up for air and swimming around -- and then out of nowhere it did a big jump in front of our boat, and also some big tail flaps (5-6 times). It was absolutely breathtaking.It's easy for me to recommend Cameron for whale watching -- the boat is a bit smaller (I've been on other whale watching tours where the boat is bigger and packed with many people) so it is more intimate and you can walk around (never feels crowded) and switch up your vantage point. There were 6 of us on the boat that day. The crew members on board were super knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife (thanks for answering all my questions!) and I was also happy to learn about the indigenous names of islands and mountains. On our way back, the boat also stopped to get some debris/garbage out of the ocean that was floating. It's clear that the team has a deep respect for community and territory and take great care to offer a great experience for guests -- I was so happy to be guided by them.I hope to go out with them again -- the experience was absolutely incredible and I felt in such good hands!

We had the best time whale watching with Cameron Ocean Adventures! The guides were knowledgeable and friendly, and we saw all kinds of wildlife — 5 whales, eagles, sea lions, and more! I’d highly recommend anyone visiting to go on a tour with them!

I have to say my family and I had an amazing afternoon with Captain Ryan today.We did a little fishing and managed to bring some decent sized Chinook home. For sights we saw a sea otter, all sorts of birds, Bald eagles, and seal island. The weather couldn't have been better.I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends and others.

Our fishing tour with Ryan was excellent. He explained everything for novices patiently and helped us all morning. He was good fun and helped us have a fun experience. As well as catching three(!) red snapper we saw sea lions up close and fed a cod to an eagle! It was our first time fishing and luckily we found the ideal operator. Thank you.

Ryan and Caleb made our fishing day into an amazing adventure. First of all they were easy to deal with and very responsive beforehand. When the day came Ryan made the trip amazing with his expert fishing techniques and boat captain skills, he even threw in some salty tales of the sea.They know these waters and fish like the back of their hands 10/10 would recommend.

Our day with Cameron Ocean Adventures was fabulous! The crew was professional, kind and knowledgeable.From the moment we stepped on the boat, we felt safe and cared for. We were blown away by the plethora of content the crew shared with us.We learned about sea otters, sea lions and grey whales as well as countless facts about the surrounding communities and wildlife.There was ample seating around the boat and an onboard washroom. If you are planning an ocean tour while visiting Ucluelet, I HIGHLY recommend Cameron Ocean Adventures!

A couple friends and I went on a whale watching tour and had an AMAZING time! We really lucked out coming across a group of gray whales feeding, and our captain Lynette and naturalist Rachel were super informative and fun. I really liked that there were binoculars available for everyone to use, lots of space to get a good view of whales, otters, seals, sea lions, birds etc, and a washroom in the cabin of the boat. Highly recommend!

What an amazing tour! The crew was super knowledgeable, friendly and had many on-the-spot whale jokes ready. We watched the grey whales feed and “sharking” in shallow water while sea lions jumped and played around them. It was such a special adventure. The boat had lots of seating variety and we are able to move around as we pleased. Overall, an experience I absolutely recommend!
