Goonie's Comedy Club

This was so much fun, comics were just the right amount of inappropriate, LMAO. Nothing like live comedy! Staff was awesome.

We love Goonie's Comedy Club! Have been going to shows since it initially opened downtown, and yes, we come here often. Life is better with a genuine laugh and a smile on your face.The venue: This is a fantastic social healing venue in town. Order tickets online before the show to keep the check-in process fast for everyone. Doors open early for a reason. The table talks before the show, crowd reaction and interaction is very much part of the joys of this venue, so always get something to drink weather it is alcoholic, sugary or caffeinated, and be a little social. You can have food at the table from the restaurant, grab a menu from the restaurant host on your way in or take a look online and order once you are at the table, no it's not awkward, the other people at your table want to eat too they just didn't know. In the most recent menu there are no vegan or vegetarian options in the food menu, we hope to see more options in the future, but you can ask the waiter for modifications or things off the menu that may have been in a previous menu and asking with the kitchen staff they are very good and accommodating. We do every time and can't say enough good things about the food & drink service staff. The good feeling of the venue starts with them.The show: Show time lasts about 90 minutes, could extend a little so don't go on a clock, you want to stay until the end. The Master of Ceremony opens up with a couple of jokes as they prep the crowd, they are often aspiring comedians and set the stage for the comedians. The openers are hit or miss but generally very good, we have seen some great ones that feels like we hit the lottery and are having two headliners. The headliners are quite amazing, true entertainers and socially smart. Some are memorable and the jokes even become part of our inside jokes. The comedians sometimes have unique items for sale after the show that become laugh triggers or conversation starters in other places.We just went to the last show of the season last night and we look forward to return after labor day. Great place for a laugh, glad Goonie's is back! They comedians are hilarious and the Goonie's staff is very friendly. I'll be back for more.

Small dark room with a weird smell. 2 high tops test where low semi comfortable seating. Heard the comedians are usually better, so I am being fair with rating; as for a first impression it was over priced for the experience. Server was pleasant, observant, fast and kept tables cleared of dishes/glasses.

Goonie's has a nice venue. Food service is a bit pricey but it was worth it. I recommend going there!

I have been to 4-5 shows the last few months and very much enjoy the until last night. I expected to seen a Comedy show not a Magic show. I just think if you're going to have a magician it should be better advertised.

Go! Laugh!! The owner of this club is a FAN of standup comedy and it shows! The new venue looks exactly like the old one AND he seats the room perfectly! The audiences come ready to laugh and the comics have a great place to record their their comedy cds. A+ and Five Stars.

Back open and a great alternative for entertainment in Rochester. The talent was spectacular and the staff very friendly and attentive despite the large crowd. We enjoyed the comedians taking time to visit with the guests afterwards. Regular shows every Friday & Saturday night. Will definitely be back!
