I went today to get some foreign currency. The teller was new and has graciously explained that she would need assistance as this was her 1st time. The floor supervise Niki Ladouceur arrived and walked her through while we patiently waited for 15 minutes. No at any point Niki Ladouceur acknowledged our presence or even greeted us while we witnessed the training session!The teller was very friendly and very helpful. Too bad the supervisor wasn't reflecting what might seeming Scotia or any other bank's values.

YOUR POORER THAN YOU THINK WITH SCOTIA BANK!!!!Financial advisers at this Scotia Bank this location and Barrydown location are incompetent. They ill-advise retiree customers to switch from decades old in secured GICs investment funds to unsecured mutual funds. On four Scotia Bank visits this spring, we requested four times to cancel in less than a year old mutual funds to switch back to secured GIGs on market downturn. These four different financial advisers with deaf ears, kept endlessly ill-advised us, our portfolio was totally secured and ended losing over $50,000. We had to switch to BMO bank in order to release, cancel these losing mutual funds from our retirement savings and what was left of our retirement funds which were all transferred to BMO. Thinks twice before investing your retirement funds in Scotia Banks!!!!

If I could rate this a 0, I absolutely would! The customer service line for scotia is the worst. Called twice regarding the same issue. The first lady was wonderful & understanding but the second could not resolve my issue right away. He promised to call me back within 2 hours. We are well over 24 hours later & I have yet to receive a call back. I went in to get my cheque that came from my college off hold seeing as I am a student with a family to support. I was late on bills & needed to get groceries. The supervisor at this specific location was very rude & hot headed. Needless to say, their hold policy is in effect if you do not have credit with them (which I personally know people who deal with this bank, with no credit & their cheques do not get put on hold). Cannot wait for the day that I can officially close this bank account & never look back. One of the WORST banks I have ever dealt with.

Drove an hour and a half for an appointment with my advisor. He had cancelled it while I was driving there. Did get to see someone about a line of credit. A month later when I tried to use the line of credit I discovered I didn't have one. Have wasted hours and hours trying to talk to someone. Looks like I may have to drive there again, missing work to fix their good up.

Wait time. Horrible! Waited 20 minutes to get through their national call centre to speak to a mortgage agent, then finally get through only to be told they had to transfer me to the mortgage dept, despite that I asked for that from the onset through their voice automation. And 30 minutes later, still on hold!

I'd give zero if I could. Wanted to apply for a mortgage . Actually transfer from one institution to Scotia Bank. I was told because I received a work related injury that my salary would not count towards income . What a joke I have a job I still have a job i got injured at work and was traumatized. This is total discrimination against injured workers .

It's slow sometimes, but the tellers are all pretty friendly. The only crotchety people there are the customers who feel they are the only people with important things to get done with their money. The tellers all do their jobs very well.
