Lima
We had an early dinner at Lima over the weekend and went for the 6-course tasting menu. It's a good execution of Peruvian food with local ingredients and a twist here and there. The staff was helpful and attentive, although I wasn't a fan of them enquiring about additional tips after having already applied a discretionary service charge of 13.5%. Just for that I'll let readers know to get a 10% discount from the Michelin guide website, which I learnt about afterwards when finding out Lima had a 1 Michelin star awarded until recently. I'd say it merits one back sooner than later though.

Worth every penny.Quality of ingredients: 5/5Creativity and taste: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambience: 5/5Value: 5/5; we got the lunch set menu and topped up with 2 starters (in lieu of deserts) and 2 sides. The ceviche tacos were a lovely little introductory amuse-bouche to Lima, setting the tone of creativity to come. The ceviche clasico that followed was delightfully playful, yet true to the core defining features of a Peruvian classic. The ceviche caliente was the stand-out winner in my books. Rich in flavor, generous in portion (something that is often left wanting in high-end dining) and surprisingly layered in flavor. The sides are not, in my opinion, optional. A must have if you truly want to say you’ve visited Lima! The Chaufa fried rice was a sumptuous testament to the identify of Peru, a Latin tapestry ingrained with time honored Sino influence. For those aware of Chinese cuisine, you would appreciate how difficult it is to master a bowl of glutinous fried rice. The Cuzo corn cake was the perfect segue to my cappuccino that capped off a satisfying meal.Michelin needs to seriously reevaluate its star metric as this little outfit was far superior in a lot of aspects to the (current) 1* establishments I’ve visited, and definitely deserving of retaining the star it earned years ago.

Very accommodating, flexible staff when we were early and especially with dietary requirements. One of the best ceviches we’ve experienced with harmonious flavours. Second favourite was the scallop tiradito with a forceful leche de tigre. Everything else was on a par in creatively showcasing the quality ingredients. Absolutely superb Pisco cocktails and a special banana rum ‘old fashioned’ which now I HAVE to attempt to recreate at home. Not inexpensive but the team totally delivered an excellent experience all round.

Really inventive dishes beautifully presented. Found the wine menu slightly lacking but service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend!!

Nice food, but not great. Doesn't match the price point. Staff knowledge good, but no hospitality in the sense of chat, smiles etc.

The best Peruvian spot in London! The whole experience begins from the minute you step in, staff are very sweet and welcoming, they made me feel at home. The menu had amazing options, with different bold flavors that truly bring out the authenticity of each dish. The most difficult thing for me was picking which one I loved the most. Amazing location, food and service. The restaurant is beautiful and fits in with traditional Peruvian culture.Would recommend for any occasion or night out. Order the pisco sour, thank me later.

A great date night spot for Peruvian food.We got the tasting menu with the drinks pairing, and it was a pretty good price compared to a la carte. We loved the pisco sour, and all the wine choices. The wines weren't complex, because the dishes had incredible powerful flavors. The service was good. The staff were friendly, but I am docking 1 star off service because it did take a while for someone to come by and take our order. Our first starter came 40 minutes after we sat down. Aside from that, the timing and pacing felt slightly rushed, but close to perfect.Food wise, all the food was on par with a Michelin guide restaurant except the first course. The flavors were great, but the crispy chip that the tuna sat on was soggy.I would come again, and I would definitely recommend trying to get a booth table.

Yes this is a 5 Stars Restaurant! I’m coming from Miami where I eat Peruvian Food every week! The food is outstanding. If you want to have an exotic experience of the Peruvian food you can come here and you will never been disappointed! Great service and attention to you every single time! If you speak Spanish of course you will have extra attention!

The food experience was excellent, service and staff exceptional. What I didn't like was the way the tables were too close to each other; at some point, you could touch the glass or bottles from the next table with your bump and vice versa.

Lima, London, is a gastronomic gem, offering attentive service alongside a tantalizing menu. Their ceviche is a delight, bursting with tangy freshness, while the miso mushrooms and secreto iberico deliver a fusion of flavours that's unforgettable. However, be prepared to splurge, as portions are modest and prices can climb. Desserts, while pleasant, don't quite match the brilliance of the small plates and mains, but overall, Lima is a great option for any food enthusiast seeking a taste of Peru in the heart of London
