We visited Grande Pre winery this past weekend and we loved it! The male who was working this Saturday who led our group wine tasting really made the experience!! He was so knowledgeable and welcoming. We went through the correct way to taste wine and had so much knowledge about the winery and all the wines they offered. I loved their Tidal Bay and friend loved the Castel! I can’t wait to visit again!

Had a wonderful lunch on the patio at LeCaveau ! We had the Millot Reserve, Duck Fries, and chaceurterie board with cheese. The veggies on the board were pickled with curry and had beautiful floral overtones. Stopped at the wine shop and picked up a case of Castel, 9ne of our favs - miss the Muscat ! Service at Le Caveau was great but the gentleman in the shop at the tasting bar was quite aloof toward us which was disappointing. Overall, great experience and always highly recommend!

Lovely setting amidst the vines. Definitely take the stroll through the vineyard to the UNESCO Viewpoint of Grand Pre!

The people here are friendly but I was not a fan of the wine at all. I’m not a wine snob nor an expert but we were not a fan of this wine. I’ve had wine from plenty of other emerging markets so I had no expectation of this wine matching a Napa cab. We tried several of the wines and they just didn’t work for us. If you like sweeter wines you may like some of it though. The property is nice. It’s up a hill and you can see the vineyards right there. We payed $229 to come on a tour of this and one other place and we feel it wasn’t worth it. I’ve spent less than that for better wine tours in Europe.

Gorgeous winery with amazing staff and super delicious snacks (we got the charcuterie with cheese and duck fat fries). Great selection of wines not only local, but imported too! They do offer flights not suggested on their menu, which I highly recommend. Shout out to Leanne who just started working there, and who is an absolute gem! Came to explore the local wineries and this is definitely high up on the list!

I did a tasting at Grand Pre winery on a busy Friday. It was one of the wineries I enjoyed the most. I liked their wines and though they seemed quite busy, the lady who serve me was quite friendly. I did the classic tasting and one of the things I liked less is that the whole tasting (done at the bar in the wine shop) was done in 1 glass for whites and 1 for red. So you had to finish your glass or pour to be able to taste the next one which did not allow for comparison between the different wines. Also, I wished for more insight on winery and the wines. The site is beautiful, you can walk independently through the vines and to the grand pre historic site.

Gave it 5 stars because the food is out of this world and the wines are great. Beautiful outdoor eating area. The wine staff are fantastic especially if you catch them at a quiet time like we did. Top notch all around. Try the seafood chowder, its a must.

We visited Domaine de Grand Pré about a month ago.It was a beautiful estate, probably the largest one we visited, definitely not bad at all for Nova Scotia’s “oldest farm winery”.When we arrived, it was sort of busy with a bachelorette’s group and other visitors but, the staff assisted us as well as they could. So, we sat outside, under a tent in the front terrace, and we had the “Classic Tasting” which included: L'Acadie Blanc, Tidal Bay, Millot, Castel and Pomme D'Or Ice Cider.Overall, the wines were all OK; but, the fact that there was a smell of manure outside didn’t help the experience. We didn’t ask where it was coming from so, we can’t blame the winery for it.Anyways, we walked around the estate, through vineyards and all the way to the “Landscape of Grand Pré” View Park, which was very beautiful.

Really enjoy this winery! The girl who did our tasting was very knowledgeable and very sweet. Since wine is so subjective, it’s nice to be able to sample the products and they had lots to choose from. I highly recommend the Ice Cider. It was VERY tasty!! The property is amazing too. I have yet to try the restaurant. Next time??

Ate at the le Caveau restaurant for lunch. It was delicious. Had our meal outside under the trees on the terrace very picturesque. Recommend this place!
