BMO Bank of Montreal

BMO and this branch make it impossible to close your account. Called the branch and was told I have to come into the branch (in the middle of a pandemic) when they have such limited hours to close my account. Or I can call and wait 2-3 hours on hold to try and close my account. How inconsiderate and disrespectful of my time.*Update* I have since had my issue resolved. Lisa the branch manager handled my concerns with promptly and with professionalism.

I have to go once a week for work and if you can avoid, do it. They max have two tellers (and usually only one) and 9 times out of 10, a line up to the door. I know it’s classic bank stuff but right now they have 6 people working in the offices around, 1 teller, and currently 8 people in line. Go anywhere else.

Terribly slow service- just like all bmo locations. Please hire more tellers or something. Literally taking about ten minutes per customer, 8 ppl ahead of me, and they're just chatting away. If you have lots of time to waste, go here!

I met with Karen, a Financial Advisor, to get some help digging out from the shutdown of our economy during COVID. She was extremely helpful and sympathetic while remaining completely professional. It was truly appreciated.

The service wasn't what I anticipated when I went to the bank today. I'm quite dissatisfied, and I won't ever come here again for the help. I was scheduled to meet with a mortgage advisor the previous day, and they assigned me to Rafid Farhat. When I arrived on time for the appointment, Rafid was late but still welcomed me into his office. He displayed bad customer service in his remarks, so I wasn't really impressed. He was asking questions and speaking with other individuals on his screen, including my former mortgage advisor, without even asking my permission to contact her, and without ever making eye contact with me. I really disagree with how he handled things there. He is adamant that I avoid talking to several agents. I do, however, have the right to interact with numerous agents until I find the right response to my mortgage plan and also until I find a nice, polite representative. I'm stating this because I have to call my other excellent advisor, named Zarah, and she is explaining everything to him over the phone about how to complete the property task assignment. He doesn't seem like he knows about it. She guides him from A to Z. And also, I'd want to add that you should always greet clients with respect, pay attention to their questions first, refrain from making snap decisions like not using other agents

I'm just trying to open an account at this branch, it's nearest to my home. I went online to open the account but I must go into the branch to show my ID.I should have checked the hours before I opened the account, because they are utterly useless. Closed at FOUR- Mon- Wed!!! Why bother opening at all? I have a job, I work until FIVE!While this branch is close to my home, it is 45 minutes from work.Bad enough that they use tiered selling tactics; forcing you to open a cost/ low transaction Checking account with a monthly fee just to get a savings account.Clearly, not the best way to start a banking relationship. I hope the situation improves when I go in to the branch tomorrow.

Worst bank everSo as we all know BMO is the worst bank ever. This branch has to top the WORST BRANCH list. The lady here was super rude to me when she was unable to help she told me to close my account. I would take my business somewhere else. RBC appreciates their customers.

Everywhere else was many days away to open an account. Got me in same day.
