Hinge Park
Another amazing park along False Creek in the middle of this beautiful city is so good for families and couples. There's a lot to discover and the child in anyone can appreciate the water feature and wildlife sanctuary (man-made) with an artsy cylinder tunnel with viewing ports. A great place to bring your little one to play on the swings, sandbox or jungle gym or have a picnic with a date or friends on the Island" peninsula."

Hinge Park
Great park with lots of greenery, especially a large off-leash dog park to take your furry friends. The dog park includes a water pump to quench your dog’s thirst (although they do shut it off during the winter to prevent pipes freezing). Very popular and busy and you can spend an hour watching multiple dogs cavort with each other.

Really cool seeing a beaver lodge right in the city! Nice park, great little walk, places to sit and hang out.

Hinge Park
Great play area and interactive water play. Also lots of greens, small wildlife, ponds, bridges and a nearby dog park. Perfect in the summer.

The presence of this park in the very busy Olympic Village area of Southeast False Creek with the multiple accommodation centre present features a wetland, a children’s play area, large number of benches, a separate dog off-leash area and an easy way to enter the bike and pedestrian pathways so close by to explore the nicely developed Southeast False Creek Seawall area..

The park site (sometimes refered to as Hinge Park, but not yet officially named) includes a rainwater wetland, play park for children, benches, grass and picnic areas. A dog off-leash area is located within a fenced area in the northwest corner of the park. The park includes a rainwater wetland with native plants that will slowly naturalize. Picnic tables, benches and docks dot the landscape. A large children's play area has state-of-the-art play equipment, a story circle, a big rusty bridge constructed from sewer pipe and a water pump with metal runnels at the top of a small hill. It is a park for children to explore and for adults to quietly enjoy.A dog off-leash area is located within a fenced area in the northwest corner of the park. The park was created as part of the 2010 Winter Games Athletes Village at Southeast False Creek. The former industrial land was transformed into a complete community and includes Creekside Community Recreation Centre, housing and commercial space.

The wetlands area is such a beautiful setting. Lots of wildlife for a place so close to downtown. Herons, ducks, red-winged black birds, and the occasional turtle and beaver (rarely spotted, but it has happened). Great open space to spread out with your own piece of grass, and several food trucks have been set up on the edge of the park recently.

We love this place! Habitat Island is a fun adventure for the kids, and a leisurely stroll along the seawall to the market and shops (mostly food and coffee shops, not too many retail options) of Olympic Village is very nice. There is a small park for kids. And rocks and a mound to climb over. Kids under 6 love to run and explore.Be warned that there are no bathrooms close by (that I am aware of). We usually walk to Urban Fare for a bathroom break. If your a mother take head that there is a code for the door and you can only retrieve it from the cashier, so if you're in a hurry this could be a problem.
