Fortune Head Geology Centre
It's about the Fortune Head interpretation Geology but it only had one exhibit concerning it, no guided tour as advertised, almost all of the other exhibits were of fossils found from sites far away from here even though Newfoundland had a rich history of fossils of it's own, I was glad, however, that the strombolites from Mistaken Point(near Cape Race) were mentioned, I still felt cheated by having to pay 5$ for this disappointing visit...I won't go there ever again.

Nice little" museum with lots of information about the area and the province. Staff was very friendly and a well stocked gift shop. Entry prices were a little high for what is there to see IMHO. But definitely a good place to visit if your in the area or waiting for the ferry."

Fortune Head Geology Centre
Dwiddling places to go that are free to see. We'll worth searching out, the shoreline is rugged spectacular. Due to being a reserve the signage is sparce, the place to see is about 1/4 km NE of the lighthouse. Look for a ATV trail off the road on the last corner before getting to the lighthouse.

It doesn't take long to see everything here. A good way to spend half an hour waiting for the ferry.

Fortune Head Geology Centre
Interesting, engaging for all ages, this nature centre addresses the aspects of geology including rocks and creatures, while focussing on the earthly side : the ground on which we stand and what composes it, and how. Nice mineral and rock exhibits, though it would have been more interesting if the centre spent more attention on the Newfoundland area specifically.Staff are friendly, the giftshop has some fun items and the washrooms are clean and wheelchair-accessible.

Cool little interpretive centre that hit way above its size. Well worth an hour to go see if you are in Fortune and have any interest in the geology of Newfoundland. Even a few nice interactive sections. Was impressed.
