Uptown Eatery
Eating alone tonight, stopped in at this restaurant for the first time. Far exceeded expectations. It is clear the owner is offering a high quality and interesting experience. Steered clear of typical fare, and enjoyed interesting menu, generous preparation and presentation, with no skimping on fine ingredients. Will be back!

Uptown Eatery
We had a great birthday dinner at Uptown Eatery. The service was top notch, food was yummy and prices were reasonable. We had a huge feast with nine people and many dishes, and we enjoyed them all. The waitress went out of her way to make us all feel comfortable. She surprised us with a little birthday cake and candles!

Uptown Eatery
This is a gem in a small town that serves authentic Chinese food. The portions were huge so we had lots to takeaway. The green beans were so fresh and yummy! I can say the same for the other dishes, fresh ingredients! Not the usual carb-loaded Chinese takeout. Tastes of home for me. Owner was really friendly and kind to our child. Will definitely be back.

Waitress/owner was very friendly and kindly waited for us to decide on our order and gave plenty of time. It was fairly quiet for around dinner time so we could hear our conversation around the dinner table. Excellent service and environment. Food was also served in a timely manner.

Very good food, but a bit pricey (as are most places these days thanks to inflation) ... they were good enough to suggest a 10% tip as a first option, however! Not 15/18/20%. I appreciated that, as with higher restaurant costs, soon we will stop eating out altogether.

So, if you're from the Sunshine Coast you'll know that there are limited authentic Chinese restaurants here. Sure, there are western- chinese options however I bet none of them serve congee or house made northern chinese seu gow" which is a handmade dumpling in soup. At the Uptown Eatery

We were in such a hurry when we came. We had to catch the ferry and there really wasn't enough time to eat properly. The owner was *super* accommodating. She's so nice!We had Gail kan, shu mai, soup buns, steamed rice, and sweet and sour pork, for our daughter. Everything was really good. We came here before when it was still a buffet and the food is much improved. Will come back next time we're in town

First time we have ordered from here. Food had little to no flavour. The honey garlic spareribs had more batter than pork, little sauce and very dry. Happy to support local eateries but this will not be a place we go back to. So disappointing.

Uptown Eatery
Was looking for dim sum on the Coast and came across this restaurant. Probably the warmest service I’ve ever experienced. The owner was very proud and very hard working. We tried about half a dozen dishes from the dim sum menu. All were terrific. There are many other menu options that we look forward to trying. Definitely support this locally owned business.

Amazing food. The dumplings are fresh. The green beans are tasty. The lunch combo with sweet and sour pork tastes good and served hot. We love the food and we were surprised they do serve authentic Chinese dishes in this small town. The host/ owner is so nice to our toddlers. We visit from Vancouver and we were thankful to find out this gem in Gibsons.
