Nice quiet beach to enjoy a beach day. PLeanty of parking - changerooms and washrooms, lots of space on the beach. A bit of kelp and a few jellyfish, but otherwise pretty nice and accessible.

I went to this beach as a child growing up in Port Hood. I brought my five children to this beach when they were little. Today, I was there with my grandchild. It's one of the most beautiful beaches on Cape Breton Island.

This is MUST see for anyone travelling to Cape Breton. A beautifully maintained walk way, with amazing beaches just over the long grass. Take note: the best beaches are a further down the pathway- it’s worth the walk! Best beaches- definitely- take your family!!

Port Hood Station Provincial Park
We dropped in here during our trip to Cape Breton and really enjoyed the park. We walked the dunes along the boardwalk and took photos. There is a really good earthcache here that teaches you a lot about the geology of the area. Magnificent views and a delightful place to visit.

Good beach but avoid going in afternoons, no place get shadow if you don’t have umbrella.
