Food was good, service was slow due to one person working the entire restaurant.. not fair to her. She was running around behind the bar, servicing the patio and cashing out take out orders. The bathroom was dirty, and the decor is super dated and falling apart.. changes need to be made as soon as possible . Every time I’ve passed by this establishment, there’s 2-3 customers (if any!) not good.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.... with a twist love the atmosphere and the people that run this place. Light fixtures are too darn cool . Keep up a great work I'm here twice a month. Mae sure to check out for what's happening on the weekends!

Ordered a Mini Veal Sandwich. Ive had both the regular and mini in the past. The regular was huge and too much for just 1 person so I ordered a mini today. It arrived and it was miserable. The quality was not there. The lonely little piece of veal barely covered the almost stale mini bun. I had asked for extra sauce on the bun as well as a side of sauce. The sandwich arrived with no sauce. 2 slices of peppers which you pay for and onions that you pay for.The quality that Im used to from this restaurant was not there at all.Sad really. First time I didnt enjoy my sandwich. Will need to find anothet veal sandwich in Durham.

I woke up last Sunday morning and had to have a veal sandwich. I drove to Ajax to have the California sammy. Got it fully loaded and took it home. Eat was … 4/5. Just missing something. Probably a little more salt. Flavour. Something. Cool side note is it’s a full restaurant. Wasn’t expecting that. Anyways revisit your sandwich. Huge potential but it’s missing something.

I remember a time when the veal was so big it would spill outta the bun. This was my first time at this location and the taste tasted nothing like other stores. The sauce was off, veal wasn’t at all crispy. I literally had to double check the bag to see if it was a rip off of California sandwiches but nope, same logo. Even my experience ordering was a disappointment. There was no line and two employees just chatting away as I stood there at the front counter. Took about two minutes before they even acknowledge me, and finished up their conversation. Such a disappointment from one of my all time favourite chain restaurants. Step it up guys!

What is a decent tasting sandwich just a portion was almost half the size of any other California sandwich locations I tend to drive half an hour farther just to go to Warden and Eglinton to get a sandwich when I’m coming from Oshawa. This is a picture of Warden and Eglinton sandwich which is almost twice the size.

If you love California Sandwiches. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. The portion size is half the size of the other California sandwich locations. You should be ashamed of the sandwiches you are making at this location. It's giving the franchise a bad wrap. I usually struggle to finish my sandwich. I got to the end of my veal sandwich at this location and was still fairly hungry. What a massive let down. Do not think to yourself that things have changed. Apparently they've been doing a disservice e to the name for years now. Please use your money elsewhere

Never disappointed with California sandwiches at any location and this one is no different. I always get the mini veal with mushroom, onions and provolone, which is more than enough. The regular size is a lot! Having to pay extra for each topping always sucked, but I don't think their prices ever went up during the pandemic or now, so it's pretty reasonable when compared to everywhere else.This location also offers halal chicken sandwiches.

Love me some California’s! This location has a huge patio and servers. My veal sandi was huge and tasty, it’s 2 meals for me, lunch tomorrow! Recommended, check it out
