The Montgomery

I moved into The Montgomery in 2020, just before the lockdown. One half of the 4th floor is plagued by noise from the party room, including the dropping of balls in the billiard room and the running footsteps of children. On the other hand, the other half suffers from the noise generated by weights being dropped in the gym. While The Montgomery has some positive aspects, such as spacious units, considering the price and their claim of luxury living, there are better apartments in the area that offer similar or even superior features at the same price or lower.If you're a young person working from home, you might want to explore alternatives like 18 Erskine or The Whitney. Places like The Whitney also have the amenities floor located on the third floor. However, they have implemented smarter measures to ensure that the noise does not disturb residents living below or above. I have clear recordings of the noise in my unit during parties or whenever there's an event in the party room. It always feels like the party is in my unit, it is not just vibrations or the beats of songs, I can hear the entire party. Although I usually tolerate it because people are having fun, there was one instance when it became excessive, and I followed the manager's advice to call the office and complain. Unfortunately, that didn't resolve the issue, as it's difficult to expect people to keep quiet during a party. The developers made a major mistake by placing the amenity floor on the 5th floor without prioritizing soundproofing. I've been awakened from sleep on occasions, startled by the sound of balls dropping in the billiard room, mistakenly thinking something was about to fall on my head.Overall, The Montgomery is a generally welcoming and pleasant apartment complex. However, if you value peace and tranquility, I strongly advise against renting on the 4th floor. None of us here truly enjoy the situation; we simply tolerate it. I feel deceived because I specifically inquired about insulation and soundproofing before moving in, and the reality does not align with the answer I received. I've lived in student accommodations with superior soundproofing compared to The Montgomery between the 4th and 5th floors. Lastly, it's important to look beyond the smiles and the appealing lobby; the luxury living experience ends once you step into the elevators. When considering the apartment, pay attention to what you see and hear. It's easy for them to be accommodating when you don't require assistance. However, the moment you need them to take action or address a problem, their response becomes slow, and they seem to overlook every email you send. I will advise that you rent with places were the management cares, be careful not to get caught up with a beautiful appearance with no value.I cannot conclude without expressing my deepest gratitude to Jermaine for being absolutely exceptional. I hope he is valued and acknowledged for the outstanding work he does. I appreciate his dedication to tenant safety and security. Same goes for Julianne, she is good at her job and the few times we have interacted she has been very helpful. They both compensate for the shortcomings of the entire building and ensure that things run smoothly to the best of their ability.

I moved into The Montgomery last year, and it’s been an absolutely incredible place to live! The entire team is fantastic and they genuinely make their residents a priority. Jermaine at the front desk is super informative, and fun to talk to! And I need to mention Carlos, who is head of the Maintenance team, as he goes above and beyond to help with any requests you might have. There are several new team members as of late, and they are excellent as well. Beyond the team, the building amenities are wonderful, and maintained beautifully. I’ve loved the experience of living here, and cannot recommend it enough.

Living at the Montgomery has been an amazing experience. Eggy at concierge has been very friendly to both my dog and I. Julianne also has a very friendly and bubbly personality and has been super accommodating and helpful from the time I viewed the apartment and even now that I’m living here.

The Montgomery is such an amazing place to live, from the location, to the building, the suites and the amenities. The suites are a good size, with functional layouts and very well maintained. The soundproofing is amazing, I've never had any noise issues from my neighbors.The staff (Julianne, Jermaine, Eggie, Sandra and Victoria) and maintenance team are amazing, especially Julianne, who went above and beyond to make sure i found a suite that met my needs. She is always responsive, patient and kind, in all interactions. Well done to The Montgomery team for making it feel like home and a community.

In these inflationary times rising costs getting less for your money .I’ve been looking at everything I spend and making sure I get value for my money , I’m sure you are doing the same .Speaks to this review costs are up that’s a fact but at the Montgomery it’s always been about what you get for your money-and that’s still the case .From management to maintenance from the concierge staff to the sales team everyone strives to make you feel happy in your home of choice .You come to the Montgomery for a place to live , you stay because of the community .The dictionary definesCommunity assharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.the sense of community”At the Montgomery that’s just what you get from a smile when you walk through the door to someone to reach out to when things are just not right .In these times of paying more for less it’s nice to be in a place that gives you more for what you pay .Don’t take my word for it

Julianne, Sandra, Jermaine and Victoria and the entire team at Montgomery !!! I would fall short of words to describe our experience at this luxury rental condo ! Absolutely amazing time and amenities ! Would definitely recommend people in midtown to stay in this building and enjoy your life

We leased a 2BR apartment at The Montgomery for one year. It was such an enjoyable experience for our family. The staff was wonderful and looked out for us. The amenities are fantastic particularly the workout facilities. We are sorry to leave but have great memories.

Good quality and great customer service are not words I would use to describe The Montgomery.While we had many issues with our unit, the greatest surprise was the oil leak above our bike storage that damaged my bicycle.Despite contacting multiple people at Rhapsody they have yet to take responsibility for the damage.

I've had the pleasure of living at The Montgomery for almost two years now. It is one of the best condos in Toronto. All of the staff members are extremely courteous and respectful. The gym speaks for itself (it is superlative in every sense of the word) and the entire building is safe and secure. I am very grateful to have had the experience and opportunity to live here (the only reason I am leaving is to move to another city.) Thank you, Montgomery!!

Living at the Montgomery has been the best experience ever! The building, amenities and suites are absolutely stunning and include the best appliances in the entire city! We fell in love with the modern decor and their innovative use of technology to keep residents safe and in the loop. We always know we can utilize their state of the art features and app to make our day to day life a breeze! Our favourite part of the day is coming home and being greeted by Julianne and the team, she is always smiling, friendly and never ceases to make you feel special and welcome you back home. She’s also extremely knowledgeable and can assist with any and all inquiries and is a leasing pro! We’re so happy to call Montgomery our home!Anna is another favourite of ours, she is extremely helpful and kind and we know we our questions will be answered promptly and with care. Thank you for everything!Everyday at the Montgomery feels very luxurious living here and we wouldn’t want to live anywhere else! The building is not only pet friendly but they host a plethora of great events and have staff available at the drop of a hat to help with any suite inquires or just to answer your questions!
