Chemainus + District Chamber Of Commerce

Chemainus,formally a noted community of fisherman and lumber. A down turn in the economies of both lumber and fishing.The town has a different appearance with huge murals painted on the sides of buildings,of an era gone by,some very nice life sized landscapes of the area.There is still lumber and fishing but not with the same character. A noted live theatre that has some exceptional live act plays.The town is very busy in the tourist season.Moms and dads with kids in tow looking for the next candy and or ice cream shop. Look for a place called the Secrete Garden,just behind and through a small little alley from Hansel and Gretels Candy ℅ on Willow Street.You won't be disappointed.
