My dogs had a great time and settled in really quick! It was our first time using prairie mountain or any kennel! But I am so glad and we will be back! Thanks again ❤

We have been leaving our two dogs here for a couple years now. We couldn't be happier with how she takes care of them. It's like a little vacation for our dogs too. We love it!

Extremely disappointed!! We had a prearranged visitation set up for today to check things out. When we arrived there was nobody around, my husband eventually walked around and found the office. My husband told the gentleman inside the office that we were there to check out the facility. The guy couldn't have cared less that we were there and acted as if my husband was out of his mind for wanting to look around. When my husband explained that we had prearranged this visit for today the guy just said I don't have you in the system". This gentleman made my husband feel like a total inconvenience. Needless to say they won't be getting our business!! Completely wasted our time today."

My husband and I weighed several options before deciding to entrust Tenille and her team at Prairie Mountain Pet Resort with the care of our two large dogs for a 12-day stay. We had never left our one-year-old dogs behind before, and were quite nervous on all fronts: would they be okay without us? Would whomever we entrusted with their care treat them well in our absence? Prairie Mountain Pet Resort went out of their way to educate us and ensure that we were as comfortable as we could be before, during, and after the dogs' stay. On the phone, they spent time explaining their policies and procedures, and recommending a meet and greet with the dogs. During our meet and greet, Tenille gave us lots of time to get the dogs acclimatized and answered all of our questions. We were particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the kennel, Tenille's knowledge about dog care and about the kennelling industry, and by the policies which provide for at least 2 half hour one-on-one staff / dog playtimes outside (our dogs are used to staying outside all day, so being kennelled would be quite a transition for them). The first time we visited the kennel, the dogs were quite nervous; the second time we went to drop them off, the dogs were already more confident and relaxed. While we were away, Tenille stayed in regular communication with us. We checked in about every other day to ask how things were going. For the most part, things were great, but we really appreciated that Tenille flagged two minor concerns about the dogs' health - both of which were routine and predictable concerns - which we were then able to work through. The dogs were in excellent condition when we picked them up - they had been bathed, their coats were fluffy, they had eaten and hydrated well, and were not overly anxious about their situation. We did anticipate having a transition once we got home again - indeed, the dogs showed signs that they were tired, stressed, and simultaneously needy" and aloof

Very nice owner and employees. They answered all of our questions and put us at ease before we needed to board our dogs for a week. They were even able to accommodate with picking up a day later since we had something come up on our trip. Price is very reasonable and worth the service. My dogs we happy and bathed when we picked them up. Will definitely use again and 100% recommend!

Our sweet dog son Max has been in the SPCA twice and had never been to a kennel since in 3 years of being with us, so we were very nervous about bringing him. However, he was picked up with no issues, so we booked him in again. When we brought him back for a second stay, he stood up on two legs and gave the owner a hug and kiss. I was like wow. She is very clearly amazing with doggos. Highly recommend, thanks for watching our kiddo.

Our 1st dog Max stayed here on several occasions for 2-3 weeks . He was always very happy to go and I felt very comfortable leaving him as the staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Max past :( We soon got a new pup that was full of life and soon wormed his way into our hearts . Ralph has different needs than Max and we talked to the staff about our concerns just before we left for holidays . They assured us he would be fine. I checked every couple of days over the time we were gone and the owner always got back to me told me how he was doing . This little bit of communication went a long way for us . Ralph did excellent and we would never put him anywhere else . This is the best place in the city for kennels . I highly recommend them . The place is clean , communication is top notch, and your fur baby will be happy . You will not be disappointed.

We always feel safe leaving our dogs here. Clean facilities and the owner clearly cares about dogs. Our dogs love going here!

Best kennel to board your dogs. Our dogs are always very well taken care of and come back happy! The staff here are awesome!

I've been bringing my dogs here for at least 10 years, for stays of anywhere from a weekend, to three weeks. I trust this kennel.They clearly care about the the dogs. Both my clingy Golden Retriever, and my slightly anxious slightly rough St.Bernard/Husky, have always been in great shape at pickup. The runs are spacious and the place always smells clean. The owner is more than willing to communicate if there have been any issues, for example the one time the kennel cough vaccine was ineffective. She let me know that my young guy had been coughing, even though he was over it by pickup. The kennel is about 11 km south of the city, and the turn off highway 11 is clearly marked with signs and flags. In all the years we have been going to them, this kennel has gotten every single appointment right. I also appreciate the new reminder texts that are sent to my phone the day before drop off and before pickup. I like to see that they continue to keep improving their service. I highly recommend them!
