I have always known Uncle Tetsu Japanese cheesecake; from the time it was only the original cheesecake they were baking. The taste is heavenly, very unique. Yesterday, Tuesday, I came to the store but did not know that Matcha cheesecake is available only Mondays and Wednesdays. I was truly disappointed. But today, I came back and bought it. The cake is very refreshing, very nice to have with tea or coffee. I will also try the Raspberry/Cranberry flavor as well as the chocolate which is baked on Thursdays. I have mentioned this to my friends as I want them to buy and taste the different flavors of cheesecakes.

Yummm!This little joint is dope, an awesome hidden gem and easily a five star without a doubt!!Whipping up perfectly balanced sweet snacks to chow down on the go. 100% recommend and so stoked I decided to go. Japanese cheesecake is the best and this chain is awesome and make extremely delicious tasty treats. I was worried this was going to be super dry, but it was actually really good and has a nice crusty outer shell with a fluffy light wedge of goodness in the middle!I wish they would do the matcha Madeline's on at least one weekend day as I don't live close enough to any of them to make it during the week opening hours. If they could also look at vegan options would be awesome!Support local businesses!

Had heard lot about this place, finally I got there and witness the process and taste their cheese cake. I must say it’s fantastic light,fluffy, less sweet and melting in mouth. Good part it’s serve right out of the oven and fresh. Best cheese cake ever. You should try it to believe.

ID 772445, party name 12Just got a cheese tart today. Base is crisp and sweet. Cheese is thick, creamy and satisfying. Comment on the staff: 3 were working. No customers at all. And I stood there for a while waiting for someone to acknowledge me. When no one did, I politely said hello to get their attention. However, they looked up and looked annoyed. So, in terms of attitude, took one star off. For the price of $4.25 for a single tart, quite pricey, inflation or no inflation

The cheesecake is super soft and fluffy. Surprisingly, it is not too sweet and heavy. Unforturnately, it was quite difficult to buy, but no matter what, I think I will buy again soon.

Love the texture of the original cheesecake! It’s my second chance to buy the $15 original cheesecake(they only sell it in whole size) from Metrotown store. It is Japanese cheesecake so it is not dense/creamy as the typical/American cheese cake made from cream cream. It is soft and delicious. It is light, a bit wet in texture and not very sweet-also why I like it! I bought it at 7pm on weekday without lineup.Suggestion to the store: can sell in slice/piece/half of it.Receipt #:698305

Inflation of money has hit uncle tetsu and the matcha is now even smaller than before (yes I am aware matcha was already smaller than the original) however deflation has hit the cheesecake itself. Been a returning customer but will limit visits going forward. product is still tasty though, for the occasional treat.

Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake, Metropolis at Metrotown
I visited and bought some cheese tarts at the Metrotown location on July 2, 2023 (receipt number 58). I loved the buttery crispy double-baked crust and the cream cheese custard was rich and tasty! I would definitely go back and purchase more along with the lemon yuzu cheesecake, a limited edition for the summer only for the month of July. The staff is always really polite and friendly. I am already looking forward to my next visit!
