Hôtel Marineau Shawinigan

The service by staff is what makes the experience at this hotel superb! Everyone was so friendly and laid back. The gentleman at check in was very pleasant. Check out time was 12, but we were allowed to leave by 1 pm if we needed to. Breakfast was better than what is served at most hotels these days. There was actually a room with many options and you could take what you like for yourself. Other hotels I've been to recently have prepackaged items that they try to pass off as breakfast. The lady working during our checkout time was very nice and helpful. We asked for coffee and tea and she happily made it for us. When we left, a few days later we realized that we may have forgotten my husband's jacket, so we called back and thank god it was there! They mailed it to us right that day and we received it shortly.

Excellent place, simple breakfast, but if you stay more than a day, rooms are cleaned at the end of your stay, not everyday…

Glad we ran into this hotel during my families Eastern Canadian city tour. The hotel was located right off the highway which was convenient. The hotel's staff was accommodating bringing us extra bathroom supplies since we needed it. The next morning we had breakfast which wasn't bad but don't expect a wide variety of gourmet breakfast. The hotel was rather cheap which was good, but it is old so don't expect five star quality everything.

Night Shift Receptionist was very friendly & the rooms are better then the best western in my opinion. The beds and pillows were very comfy; better then the ones I have at home ! I was staying at the hotel for work but I will definitely be coming back here for when I do some fishing !!

Clean and spacious room. Bathroom is big enough, bed was comfortable. Aisle could be updated. Because of COVID-19 breakfast is limited to pick up (fruits, bread, oats, yams, yogurt, a.s.o).It's right at the interstate and you can walk to downtown for a restaurant or grocery (30 min).The McDonald's sign on the other side of the street is unfortunately so bride that you definitely have to close the curfews at night. Ask for a room to the other side if you mind that.Staff was helpful and friendly.

Great location right off the 55 and about 2 minutes from the main drag - Grand Mere Ave.The rooms appeared newly renovated giving it a modern look and very clean. The washroom was set up nicely and, most importantly, plenty of water pressure.Staff were very friendly and helpful.Travelling with my cat can be tricky when it comes to accommodations, but they are a pet friendly hotel which is worth alot.If you're staying in the Shawinigan, Grand Mere area, or travelling further north via the 55, this is a great place to stay.

Rooms are very very clean with comfortable mattresses. Dedicated car parking against each room. Hotel location is very convenient to town as well National Forest Park

We chose to stay here because they're pet friendly, but we were surprised to find our room so sleek and modern, clean and comfortable, completely exceeding our expectations for what initially seemed like a regular roadside motel.

The hotel was kept clean, the bedrooms were decent. But most importantly, the staff was so sweet and kind! There is so much to explore near the hotel, a lot of nature to take in. Perfect location!
