SheepDog Animation

My daughter has been attending classes at SheepDog animation both in person and now virtually for over 4 years. During that time her portfolio and digital and traditional skills as an artist have grown and flourished. I am grateful for the inclusivity and support from Alice and Paul to allow her to become the artist she would like to be. Their experience is incredible and they apply it creatively to the lessons each week.

They taught her everything from the basics to advanced skills and guided her through her Sheridan College portfolio submission. They are kind, caring. talented and have a genuine desire to help kids succeed in the field of animation. I would highly recommend Sheepdog for anyone looking to learn animation.

Dropped in on a whim and was blown away by this animation studio and cinema museum!We took the one hour tour hosted by the artists/animators/owners, Alice and Paul. They providesd us with a fascinating review of the history of cinema and animation, as well as a tour of their historic cameras, projectors, and studio.We also saw a sampling of pretty impressive student works produced at their studio, under their tutelage.The owners were fun, inviting, approachable, and super knowledgeable. The tour was the highlight of our trip! We are planning to return with a small group of friends to take a class and make our own animation!Based on what I saw, I would definitely recommend classes to anyone looking to build a portfolio. Paul and Alice have the skills to get you there.

My son found Sheepdog Animation and never wanted to miss a class! Not only are Alice and Paul so dedicated and incredibly knowledgeable but they are lovely people too. It shows that they truly care about all of their students as individuals. Their classes cover all aspects of animation and will help guide the students through developing their art portfolio, either for personal satisfaction of for applying for post-secondary degrees. I highly recommend!!

As a former student of Alice and Paul, working with them in the studio was essential in forming the artist I am today. I took both the online and in person portfolio preparation courses, and was astonished by how quickly I improved at art, and how well my portfolio came together, allowing me to get accepted into top schools for animation. They are nice, helpful, professional and insightful. With their expansive expertise in the history, mechanics and knowledge of animation, Sheepdog is an invaluable studio for starting your animation career or just having great, creative fun!I was very lucky to have found their studio that has transformed me from a novice artist into an accepted Sheridan College Student. I couldn't recommend Sheepdog Animation more!

Our family group of 10 (primarily adults) eagerly anticipated our visit to Sheepdog Animation! The evolution of cinema tour gave us a wonderful insight into what brought us to present day - movies, animation, etc. Paul & Alice are very knowledgeable & delight in sharing their expertise. The laughing & squeals of delight by all, during our animation workshop were proof of how much the hands-on exercise was enjoyed. Each person came away with their personally created animation video. Great fun for all & lots of chatter about it after the outing!!! A great & new local attraction for Chatham-Kent! :D

This weekend , I visit the Museum / introduction of beginning of cinema until today.Pavel and Alice did amazing job, showing, telling very interesting way all of that!!!Plus their Amazing , real pcs of cameras, most still working,Their knowledge is so good , you gonna Love to hear their show.I truly recommend to see the Museum, and listen to such interesting facts about all that history of film making.!

I have taken classes from both Alice and Paul and they are amazing teachers that are not only knowledgeable on the topics they teach but have helped me with my own strengths and weaknesses. With their insightful classes and support I saw my art improve at a fast rate. I was able to prepare a portfolio that got me accepted to Sheridan’s Honours Bachelor of Animation. I can thank them enough!

I have been a student under Sheepdog Animation for almost 5 years now - and I have to say that I've never had better help when it comes to learning about film and animation. Both Alice and Paul are outstanding teachers, and clearly know their stuff when it comes to animation, and passing that knowledge onto others through fun and exciting projects!I recently applied to Sheridan College for their animation program, and they have both helped me through every step of it. With the things I've learned from them, I am confident in my portfolio!! In my opinion, Sheepdog Animation is one of the best classes out there!

Alice and Paul are honestly the most amazing teaching duo! I took their portfolio development course and it truly did so much for me! not only was I able to create a successful portfolio for one of the most highly regarded schools in the world, I also take the concepts and tricks I learned with sheepdog and apply them to my work everyday! Alice and Paul made me the best artist I could be by showing me just how far I could push my concepts, creativity, and art style! I will forever be grateful to them for changing me as an artist for the better! I would also just like to add that they are two of the sweetest people I've ever met! they're firm and honest in their critique, and it is always obvious that it comes from an honest love for art and desire to help students achieve their very best and realize what they are capable of! forever grateful for these two! highly recommend!
