Ontario SPCA - Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre

Were looking for a new family member and when we seen Shadow (formally know as Scarecrow) on the internet, we knew we had to meet him.We contacted the Brockville SPCA where he was at, and they arranged a Zoom meeting with him. That is when we knew he was the one for our family.Via the internet we arranged the adoption and a couple of days later we went from Ottawa to Brockville to bring him to his forever home.Well, it has been over a month, and he has his forever home and his family and friends who love him dearly.Thank you to the Brockville SPCA.

Tried to take a look at this place, to see what they have available. As well as pricing, but one of the co workers rushed me out the door. Since I didn't have a appointment. No appointment required according to there website. As well as No other information based on making a appointment. Sounds more like they wanted to rush me out the door because they had one last hour. Before they closed, the door was open. (not locked) The co worker in question, got aggressive. Even after I apologized because I wasn't aware. Not going back to this place at all. If this is how you treat people trying to adopt. You should be fired, or the entire place should be shut down. They should advertise that they require a appointment online somewhere. AGAIN NO INFORMATION ABOUT APPOINTMENT REQUIRED ON ANY SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITE. Do not recommend going there until new staff is in place.

If I could give 0 Star's for this place I would.I am not someone who does these types of things (write reviews) but this is definately warranted as I am completely shockedMy mom has a cat that has been hanging out around her house lately. Today it showed up and my mom said it's ears are bleeding and the skin looks like it's falling off. My mom is quite upset and said they the cat is suffering.Both my mother and myself called here and the woman was very rude and not compassionate at all about the situation. They refused to take the animal even though my mom was willing to get a live trap to capture it and transport it to them. They said that because my mom lives 15 minutes into the country and not directly in Brockville that they will not care for this cat because they don't have the resources" and that it's my mom's responsibility to take it to a vet for care. When I asked who was to pay for said care if it's not her animal she did not have an answer for me. She did not give my mom any options on who to call and just dismissed her completely. I know for a fact that euthanizing a pet does not take many resources and if the cat is suffering and not able to get the care it needs

Clean and VERY sweet animals to choose from. The cats have larger kennels than I am used to seeing. There weren't a lot of animals up for adoption and service could have been friendlier but don't use that against these fur babies. They seemed very honest about the animals temperaments. Definitely worth stopping in when you're in search of your next pet. Adopt, dont buy! All pets are spayed or neutered.

I am from the Greater Toronto Area. I adopted Smoosh around 2 weeks ago. All I can say is that the service provided by Jacob was stellar. As a first time pet owner, he answered all my questions promptly, provided links with advice and tips. I feel quite happy to adopt Smoosh. Overall, it feels good to support Ontario SPCA and their work. If I have to adopt, I would always consider Ontario SPCA first. I also hope that SPCA is able to bring in more pets from foreign destinations who may be in dire need of care.

We just adopted Loki. He is such amazing kitten and so full of energy so playful. I would adopt another kitten I wish I could of adopted his sister. The first lady I met was so friendly very helpful.

They lie! I told the girl at the front multiple times that the kittens could be petted but not picked up. She kept saying not to worry, they have volunteers that work with them to socialize them. Just happened to go into the back when I took them in and the guy said if he couldn't pick them up they'd be euthanized! I took them back home. How many people have left kittens or cats there on the girls word up front and they've been euthanized I wonder?
