Royal Taste Chinese Cusine
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Royal Taste in Calgary NE and indulging in their incredible Pekin duck 3 course meal. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The service provided by the staff was outstanding, with attentive and friendly waitstaff who ensured our needs were met throughout the meal. The star of the show, however, was the Pekin duck itself. Cooked to perfection, each course showcased the succulent and flavourful meat in unique and delightful ways. Every bite was a taste sensation, leaving me craving more. Royal Taste is a must-visit for any food lover in Calgary, and their Pekin duck 3 course meal is an absolute must-try.

Dinner doesn't come for 90 minutes. We got the 3 course peking duck with soup and noodles. The soup ladle the waiter was scooping with was so small, it took him 10 minutes to serve every bowl. He also generously coated the outside of each bowl with soup drippings.The main dishes themselves were very good though. Only the wait leaves much to be desired.

The restaurant was packed, which is a great sign that it would be a good experience. And yes it was, the food was amazing.Chef Peter has incredible skills and presentation. He always rises to the occasion. Amazing job, well done, and thank you.

Royal Taste Chinese Cusine
Impressed with their first location in Chinese Cultural Centre, so been back twice to this location. Was not disappointed. They always do a superb job with the in-season Ling Cod. Also enjoyed the 3 course Peking Duck.

Royal Taste Chinese Cusine
Went there on a wednesday night, barely any customers and yet we did not get our food for at least 1.5 hr of waiting. We asked for an update and was brushed off by the server. kept telling us that the kitchen was backed up but yet, there was only maybe 4 other tables of 2-3 people. We requested to cancel one of the dishes but was told it was already being worked on, still another 30 minutes of waiting. Finally we get the bill to pay and we were overcharged. Terrible.

This restaurant has ridiculously poor service. We came in looking for a table for 4 and we waited for someone to greet us. But we stood there for 20 minutes and no one would even acknowledge us. Once I ask one of the ladies there if I could get a table for 4, she just told me to wait there because she was busy like I haven’t been waiting there for 20 minutes already. I work in the restaurant industry too and it is ridiculous that not one server would greet us despite standing there for so long. I understand it is busy but at least greet us and let us know how long it would take for a table. There was an open table right in front of us and they could have at least seated us and allowed us to look at the menu. After asking multiple times, she finally just tells us to sit at the table. This is my second time there and after such horrible service I felt unwelcome and left disappointed. I do not think I will ever be returning to this restaurant.

Newly, completely (including entire kitchen) renovated restaurant brought to you from the same chef and ownership of the same restaurant in the Chinese Cultural Centre. You can expect the best Peking duck wrapper skin to be enjoyed in the more refined decor.

Buffet are available at a promotional price of $13 per person on Wednesday and Thursday. Dim sum is available daily at reasonable prices.Services are friendly and efficient fast by friendly staff. Place is brightly lighted and clean.Also available for dinner dishes.
