Heintzelman's BBQ Pit
Ordered ribeye steak w mashed and green bean all excellent. Steak was medium and with nice char outside and marinated perfect. Wait staff fast and friendly. Owner chief visited all tables asking us about our dinner very nice touch. It a must visit BBQ place. Also purchased rack of ribs to go and next day they were smoked to perfection.

Extremely average food with high pricing and a forced 18% tip for pickup. This is unreasonable at the price range and quality. Forcing this percentage says a lot....like we dont pay our employees so we force tips on customers taht pick up. If you must go, dine in. Take it to go. Save on the tip. Unfortunately we will no longer enjoy burgers from Orbaker any more either. We placed a large order and paid almost 40 extra for nothing at all. We do not recommend at all.

Amazing food - the Pit Plate was so good. The cornbread and butter was out of this world. Totally worth the 40 minute drive, we can’t wait to go back

I can say right now this is not worth 50$ and that is what I was charged. And for having to pay 50$ didn’t even receive the full order and when questioned why it was so much I was told it was 18% gratuity because the containers went up…. Sorry but horrible excuse when gratuity is supposed to be for employee and a dine in service. Will never order again.In response: this is not in any way a 50$ meal. And on the order online it says side of 3 piece corn bread. We got 2 …. That aside. And 18% gratuity charge is truthfully unheard of on a takeout order. Added gratuity is for a service or a waiter …. Which was not provided. Not that I would ever not tip… but to charge someone 18% on a takeout out service…. Say what you will but my family and myself have own a restaurant for many years and yes costs have gone up…. But 50$ for a single person meal that is advertised as a combo meal. Trying to pull off that that meal is even meant for two people for that price is a joke. The sad thing is that if you in any way had tried to offer some sort of compensation for the issue I absolutely would have ordered more food and tipped 20% but your very poor customer service is what has lead us to not return to you ….. very busy establishment ( 2 tables seated ). We have a lot of family and friends that we have taken in there before but after this experience we will not be returning and neither would that. I have seen in your past reviews the same issue has been a problem with your o line orders. A small piece of advice is to maybe revisit how you handle your customer service because I can tell you it goes a long way in returning customers. And word of mouth reviews.

Heintzelman's BBQ Pit
A friend took me to lunch here. It was very slow, very quiet. Seating was uncomfortable because it has no padding. Service was very quick. Menu was very clear with sooo many options. Presentation of food was very nice. Portions were of decent size. Food was very tasty. Had a microbrew of a beer that had pineapple, mango sour in it. Went perfectly with the sweetness of smoked meats. Dessert was really tasty too. It's a little out of the way but it's definitely worth the trip.

Heintzelman's BBQ Pit
First time there, excellent service! I had half slab ribs and they were delicious! I didn’t think I would eat them all but they were like butter! Sides were good too. Baked beans had a slight kick tothem and mac salad was good also.Definitely will be back ! Pit master/ owner checked on all tables and made sure everything was perfect.This is a must try for you if you haven’t already.

Great food and hospitality! Our first time there, and they gave us a sample platter of their sides which was awesome! The owner came out to introduce himself which was great! I had the ribs and my fiancee at the pit plate, both were very good! We'll defintely be back!

Ordered out and just opened up my order to find that first, it was apparently taken over the phone incorrectly which I can deal with. What bothers me is that for $5 you get 2 fork fulls of side. Oh plus an 18% gratuity even on carry out orders. This place has seriously gone down hill recently and I'm sad to say they're losing a customer.

I'm not sure what to think about the food we got for takeout, given all the other great reviews. We both got the double meat combos, both with pulled chicken and the brisket. I'll say this...the sides were good. But the chicken and the brisket... I honestly don't know how to put it nicely, so I'll let the picture do most of the work...Maybe we got the end-of-the-day scraps or something, but even the cheapest BBQ should be dripping with delicious fat, and this BBQ was...not. It was very dry, and rather expensive. I think $33 per plate is not an unreasonable price for good BBQ, but it shouldn't need to be smothered in sauce to even be edible. I hope and imagine this isn't the same experience all diners get given the other reviews.

Amazing BBQ at reasonable prices and super friendly staff. Seafood is excellent as well! I had seafood bisque with a lobster roll and it was amazing!
