Get outdoors enjoy nature and all the peacefulness it provides. Multiple exits on this trail. Moderate walk along some rugged coastlines.

This is a great trail to run if you're into that kinda thing. Starting in Blackhead, running north, into Freshwater Bay, across the barrachois, around the freshwater pond counter clockwise, and back to Blackhead is a dandy 11.5 km.

Always a favorite place to stop (going to or back from Spear Lighthouse) and be rejuvenated by the awesome power of the sea as it pounds against the shoreline. Great point of access to yet another portion of the East Coast trail.

I walked the trail from La monche road to the bridge. Was getting dark do had to head back. It's great. Need good boots, can be slippery around the rocky areas. Really nice hiking trail and great scenery when you reach the ocean. Some people had a tent there for the night. But no cell service out there.
