Quality Inn & Suites
Was located right by the highway which was convenient for travelling around Kingston. Location was quiet and rooms were clean and looked like had some upgrades recently. My room was automatically upgraded without any additional charges. Upgraded room was very large. Free parking and breakfast was included. Great customer service and positive experience over all.

Dear Hotel Management,I am writing to express my complaint and disappointment regarding the issues I encountered during my stay at your hotel. My family and I checked in on the evening of June 24, 2023, at 7:00 PM. However, at around 9:00 PM, the water supply to the hotel was cut off, leaving us without the ability to take showers or flush the toilets. We approached the front desk, where a staff member named Grace informed us that there was a municipal water pipe rupture, and the hotel was unable to resolve the issue. To make matters worse, we were informed that there would also be a power outage the next morning at 6:00 AM, which meant we would have no access to hot water or functioning elevators.As a form of compensation, Grace informed us that the hotel agreed to provide a 50% discount. Reluctantly, we accepted the offer and continued our stay. However, the next morning when we checked out, another front desk staff member claimed to be unaware of any discount and requested that we pay the full amount, promising that we could contact the manager on Monday afternoon, June 26, 2023. Following the agreed-upon timeline, we contacted the manager as planned, only to be informed that they were in a meeting and asked us to leave our contact information for a callback. The front desk staff double-checked our phone number to ensure accuracy. However, despite waiting for two days, we did not receive a response from the manager.Therefore, on the evening of June 28, 2023, we made a second call to the manager, but once again, they were unavailable. The front desk advised us to try again the following morning. On the morning of June 29, 2023, we made our third attempt to contact the manager. Finally, the manager answered the call and stated that the water pipe rupture was an issue caused by the municipal government and not the hotel. We pointed out that the hotel was aware of the municipal issue on the night of our stay and had promised us a 50% discount based on that. However, the manager claimed that the front desk staff had misspoken. Later, we reached out to Grace, the front desk staff member mentioned earlier, and she mentioned that it was the management's decision to offer a 50% discount but they later reneged on the agreement, leaving her unable to assist us.The hotel's evasion of responsibility, failure to honor commitments, and lack of integrity have resulted in us being unable to receive the promised discount (as well as the loss of expected services). I sincerely request that the hotel's management address this issue promptly and find a resolution. As a guest who experienced significant inconvenience and disappointment, I believe it is essential for the hotel to rectify this matter appropriately.I look forward to a timely and satisfactory response.Yours sincerely, Haiwang

Stayed here during the first weekend of June for vacation and sightseeing. I picked the hotel because of the good value per night it was offering, close to the highway, and driveable with restaurants nearby. We arrived late. However, I notified the hotel beforehand. Also requested to be away from crowds to avoid noise and they accommodated this. Check-in was easy and had no issues. The room itself was clean, spacious, and quite a comfortable bed. We couldn't hear any noises and the room itself was facing the parking lot. The toiletries were basic, nothing fancy and just to use for the few days we were there. The Continental breakfast offered was average, hot and cold items available. The eggs, bacon and sausages were quite good. They had a small waffle machine anyone can use with instructions at the side. The only recommendation which I also provided to the hotel was providing choices for dairy as for those who can't drink it due to intolerances/allergies. Overall, a good stay.
