Island Cycle

My son’s bicycle got fixed in no time!!! Service was great and price was very reasonable. Very welcoming display and neat store.

bought a pump.tried to return it. it was in the package. owner started swearing at me. i was respectful before that but after cussing at me i spat on the entrance door he follows me amd my buddy out threatening to kill us and all that fun stuff. poor little fellow sure missed his anger manegment class. employees are nice and helpful though.

Long story short: Horrendous Service!I'm new to cycling, trying to learn as much as I can about the mechanics, and I went to Island Cycle because they had a detailed list of the services that they provide on their site.When I took my bike in I tired to explain to them the problem that I was having with my gear shifters not shifting correctly. They made it seem like no big deal and said that they could fix it. I received no call when the job was finished, and followed up a couple days later myself. I picked up my bike and the problem was still there, after they had said that they fixed it by replacing the derailleur cable. I showed them a 2nd time how the gear shifter wasn't working probably, this time they listened to what I was saying and then said that I needed new gear shifters and offered to put new ones on, free of a labour charge (which I appreciated). I went in a week later to drop off my bike for the new shifters and when I tried to talk to them about different types of shifters the gentlemen got frustrated with me and refused to talk about different products. He literally just went back to working on a bike and stopped talking to me, I couldn't believe it.Island Cycle made me feel lousy right off the hop. This was my own experience with them and my assumption is that these guys appear to be overwhelmed with the amount of work that they have. I've started going to another shop where I am treated a lot better and am actually learning about bikes because the staff at my new shop actually takes the time to explain things. I would highly recommend NOT going to Island Cycle, especially if you're new to cycling and are trying to learn about the sport.

Great staff, incredibly friendly and helpful. Got what I needed for a really fair price.

We purchased one bike a few years ago for our son and we appreciated how Julie went through how to use the bike and care for it. She even brought it to our home. We purchased a second and still the service a year later was great. I called yesterday for service and she said she would pick up the bike and leave another so our son had transportation! I have to say the service is beyond extraordinary and make having these bikes extra special. Keep up the good work!

If you want your stuff fixed without any nonsense come in. If you want any mild training advice or preventive maintenance tips come in, I honestly cannot complain about them at all. Might take a little while for stuff to be done but at the same time they'll get your stuff done as quickly and correctly as possible as soon as they can.

Took my Ebike to them to have something fixed. They had it overnight and the next morning they called me to pick it up. They were fast, knowledgeable. Not to mention very reasonably priced. it is a busy place and I can see why. Thanks

Busy little bike shop! Service was good, prices are fair and the door greeters are two of the sweetest pups. Thanks for making my day and being so helpful.

Very rude staff person with two obnoxious dogs that tried to jump up on me as soon as I walked in the store. So I walked right back out again but she followed me saying what's your problem? and I said I don't like dogs jumping up on me. She said well one of them is a rescue. I said I don't care, they're aggressive. She said no you're just being rude.! I said ok now you're being aggressive. Mind you, we're right out on the sidewalk in front of customers and staff people and everybody going by. So I said forget it, I'm leaving. She shouted a few more remarks as I was walking away. Unbelievable. I would never set foot in that place again.
