My wife and I are big Shawarma fans, and have visited numerous shawarma locations in Toronto. Very rarely have we come across a place with food as fresh as Resto Beirut. We ordered two Shawarma Platters. The hummus was freshly made and tasted delicious! The garlic butter? Oh my god, to die for. I found myself wishing I had more food just so I could eat all the hummus and garlic butter; that’s how delicious it was! The chicken was absolutely delicious - it was nicely cooked and had an amazing colour. It could have perhaps used 10% more spice, but it was delicious nonetheless. The rice was freshly made also, and was nice and light. It tasted very nice also. Just your basic freshly made delicious rice. The two downsides were: the pita was only half a pita - we would have liked a full pita, and the fatouch salad had too much vinegar and dressing in it. It was a little too soggy. We would have liked 70% less dressing. The rest of the platter was so delicious, we found ourselves licking the plate clean. Overall - Resto Beirut was absolutely delicious and filling; it has been added to our list of favourites, and we will be coming back for more. Highly recommended if you like chicken shawarma and are looking for a fix in St. John’s.

The food here is amazing! Authentic Lebanese cuisine and you can tell it is made with fresh, quality ingredients. Amazing service from the family who runs the restaurant and very fair prices as well.

First time here. Good taste. Very light in quantity! I’m used to a lot more for your money out west. For $26 and extra meat I would honestly say it was enough for a 10 year old to satisfy. Honestly wasn’t more than $1 In meat total. They charge enough but under deliver in amount. Will try others

I've have their chicken shawarma and shish tawook, along with fries and garlic. Honestly, it was a good meal and the food tasted fresh. I would highly recommend giving them a chance. I sincerely hope they keep up the quality and quantity of food as their business expands -- and it will!

I lived in Ottawa for a spell and got really into shawarma (like you would) and ever since I came back to NL I have been scouring this island for a good shawarma and I have finally found it here. Hands down best shawarma in the province. Make sure to add garlic sauce to everything

When we arrived and sat at the sticky table with rickety chairs, one of the owners (?) gave us our menus and immediately got on the phone, where she remained for the rest of our visit.Her husband, (another owner?) took our orders for beef shwarma. Our food arrived and it was very obviously heated in a microwave. The beef was tough with a very tasteless sauce and the unusual addition of dill pickles!A bit over $30.00 gor two mediocre sandwiches was shockingA return trip is not planned.
