Stones Marina

We had problems with our American Tug, from thrusters to freezer, and every time we went to Stones, Rob Steele went above and beyond to help solve our problems. Very knowledgeable and a really nice guy. We’ll definitely be going back for all of our servicing.

Fantastic customer service, and for local boaters everything you need: quick access to open water and the Gulf Islands, as well as nicely sheltered. More importantly: a pub. Reasonable rates for moorage, and hopefully not too long a wait list. Easy access to shopping if you're heading out on a trip, or if you are a visitor to Nanaimo close to downtown and the waterfront parks.

Don't use their parking lot if you are going to the pubs along the water. We had our two dogs in the truck while we stopped for dinner with the windows down and water for the dogs, they were perfectly fine at 7:30 pm. Our dinner was interrupted by a very obnoxious lot attendant about our dogs and he was very quick to awesome we were bad dog owners! We ended up leaving our dinners and vacating! If this is how they treat their patrons not sure doing business with them will be any better!

We stopped by Stones Boatyard because we had a gasket leaking in the raw water pump, we are headed to Desolation Sound. Rob the service manager had a mechanic come to our boat to evaluate the problem. Luckily the needed parts were available in town. Devon the mechanic picked up the parts the next morning and completed the repairs. We were on our way within 20 hours. AMAZING!! I can’t get that good of service in my hometown.Good job guys. Rob and crew at Stones Marina are the best. Super professional, safety conscious and extremely knowledgeable. We had a major job, replacing the strut. Rob explained the process, told us the time frame and came on board the morning we launched. Excellent job

Absolutely great place - we started taking our boat over to Stones 3 years ago for our annual haul-out and for other work as well. Great knowleagable service, clean yard, reliable, efficient and fair. The best.

Large Full service knowledge staff good chandlery got us in same day after we damaged our boat. Let us stay on boat while it was being fixed

We were towed into the marina and lifted out due to a breakdown, a faulty propeller. The staff were the utmost professional and courteous people, and they looked after us and our boat while she was placed on the hard. We were appointed a mechanic who started work immediately on the problem. He knew exactly what he was doing, very professional. Our prop was fixed within 3 hours, and as we needed more work done on the boat, we decided to stay and make use of this great place. At no point did we feel ripped off, as the marine store and contractors were very competitively priced. As it was the Canada day long weekend, we were given the courtesy car to get around. Once again Rob Steel the manager goes the extra nautical mile to provide fabulous service. Had our S/V hauled for bottom paint and polishing. A great job done, very efficient and friendly staff.Thanks again.
