The SOOT Sergeant - Chimney Sweep

The Soot SGT came to our property where the chimney hadn't been swept for a good few years, the fire hadn't been used in that time either, good job too as the amount of rubbish up there was astonishing, a big bag full! We were shown up the chimney with a camera and given relevent advice on how to stop our loose flue from moving around. He also advised me which good value smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to get. All in all the experience couldn't have been any better. He even cleaned the log burner and had it looking brand new.He worked VERY clean, apart from the fireplace looking so good I couldnt tell he had physically been there.10/10!

Kevin sweeps chimneys for several people in our village and also at my home. When I purchased a new property there was a problem identifying whether the wood burner was safe and chimney swept, despite him being out of the area, he was on hand to give advice and suggested who to go to. Long overdue review but I can thoroughly recommend Kevin, and will keep using his services, he's very professional and I trust his advice!!

Just had Kevin come round to clean two flues, at very short notice. He was superb. Thoroughly conscientious, made no mess at all, fully serviced both wood stoves, leaving them looking like new. Would 100% recommend, and really good value to boot. Excellent.

Outstanding service. Arrived on the dot. Very systematic in sweeping chimney. Made a complete seal with sheet plastic so no dust got into the room. Has great kit..rods attached to a drill so it’s a thorough sweep. Pulled the inside of log burner apart and cleaned component pieces. Reassembled in the correct way..mine was incorrect. Smoke tested at the end which identified a problem. Came back in to put camera kit up to chimney pot to identify the problem, showed me photos and resolved it. Very knowledgable and interesting man. Even polished log burner with some magic fluid that makes it look like new. It’s unrecognisable now..a major transformation and I can really tell it’s working efficiently now it’s been lit. Totally worth every penny. Left the place cleaner than when he arrived! Don’t trust anyone else with such an important job.
