The owner of the Klavierhaus Toronto Showroom, Akos Prekop, is a fantastic piano technician. Both my upright Yamaha and my Steinway grand pianos are taken care of by him and I can't be happier with my pianos and his service. Not only he is an absolute expert in his field, but he is also a very caring person that completely understands and respects your personal connection with your piano and allows you to be a part of making your piano maintain its great condition, or witness your piano reach its full potential.I have visited his showroom countless times. The pianos in his showroom are in superb condition. The selection of pianos feature amazingly repaired/rebuilt Steinways, all having their own unique voice. This ultimately increases the chances of finding a piano that speaks to you if you are searching for one. Akos can provide all the details and stories behind these special instruments, and he will make sure that you will meet your dream piano.Aside from the pianos, his endless support for pianists is highly appreciated by many pianists, including myself.I am truly grateful for meeting someone like Akos and having him as my piano technician.

Akos is a wonderful technician. He completely replaced my Steinway hammers - complete with voicing, action adjustment, and tuning - with precision, patience, and professionalism. He also tunes both my upright pianos and concert grand regularly, and I trust his expertise and technical knowledge of pianos with confidence.
