Wok for U

This is my go to guilty pleasure, I try to find a good Asian takeout place in every city that I live and this I mine for Mississauga for the last 9 years.

Food is great. I eat here once a week. Lots of food for the money always fresh!

Our usual Chinese takeout is still closed for quarantine and we were looking for some quick Chinese takeout. We found this a few minutes further away from home.Ordered a Veggie Fried Rice without eggs, Veggie Noodles (changed to Shanghai Noodles as it normally comes with egg noodles) and Spicy Stir Fried Mixed Veggies. Asked to add no fish sauce and less oil.It took about 15-20 minutes for the order which was fine. The food was less greasy as requested.The Noodles were disappointing as even though not dry, they just didn’t have any flavour or properly seasonings. The Fried Rice was perfect in every way. The stir fry was, expecting a spicy kick, but not at all spicy. The quantity for all the three dishes was way less than our normal spot.

I love this restaurant and have been coming here for years (since 2009). Food quality is always consistent and unlike food court Chinese restaurants, everything here is made from scratch on a daily basis (ie. sweet and sour sauce, orange sauce, lemon sauce, appetizers). Nothing is purchased premade or frozen. I know some of the reviews have mentioned staff being rude, but I’ve experienced totally the opposite. This is a family owned business ran by the kindest Chinese couple. English is their second language and there are times they can be misunderstood as being rude. People can be so quick to judge! I also appreciate that they are so accommodating for any substitutions, modifications or allergy requirements. My top favourite dishes are: chicken wings, chicken balls, Cantonese chow mein, any of the fried rice dishes, general tso chicken, beef and broccoli, and spicy deep fried squid. I also recommend you try the egg foo yong dishes which are Chinese omelettes smothered in gravy made fresh to order. They also have value combos for singular servings or family sets. Highly recommend you give this local business a try!

So this was my go to place for Chinese but have lost me as a customer untill I hear what is going on with this place. Food is great but today Nov 17 went to phone in order for pickup abd was greeted with the following. After many attempts to phone In an order someone put a message stating they were closed for holiday. Well that's fine so had to order food from another place close by. When I picked up my order I found not only open but many uber drivers waiting to pick up orders. This tells me they no longer want to take orders over the phone . Also if they want to tell me that this message was left on by accident it is not the case as I know others who found the same as I did. Thanks for the great food in the past good luck in your future.

I ordered chili chicken and chicken sweet corn soup . When I got the delivery it was all leaking from the container and there was no napkin or spoon to eat. How one can have soup without a spoon? They are charging $2 for service fee and this is the service they are giving? Chilly chicken was horrible and soup was also not great. Will not recommend this place to any one.

The food is not bad, but the lady in the front looks like she has some type of memory loss. She said to wait 15-20 minutes for my food so when I came back she said I was in the wrong store twice.

Food was delicious. Veggies not overcooked. All meat was tender and juicy. Chicken wings were AMAZING! Service was fast and friendly. Only complaint was general tso taste more like honey garlic, but it was still delicious and tender, and price was a little expensive

Avoid this place. Couple of times we ordered food and drivers were just coming and leaving for pick up, we never received the food. First time thought it was a mistake but next time same thing happened. We called the restaurant and they lied that they’ve sent the food. 2 times they blamed Uber drivers for stealing the food. That never happens anywhere else. Only with this place, and not once but twice!! There is something shady about this place, just save your time and money.

Every time I order from Wok for U I call them and say how wonderful the food is. Get them to deliver.it comes steaming hot.We love the Eggplant with pork, the sesame crispy beef, ho fen noodles with beef , sweet and sour pork and hot and sour soup.So so yummy.⁹
