Fruiticana

Fruiticana is my go-to independent grocer. I live about 15 minutes away, so it's a short, pleasant stroll. It has just about all the basic and essential produce I need, and at prices far lower than other grocers I've frequented in the past. There are lots of small independent groceries around Fraser between 45th and 49th, but Fruiticana is definitely the best.

One of the larger Indian food stores on south Fraser Street and we always make a point to drop in here on our trips to this eclectic and vibrant neighbourhood! Lots of fruit and veg as well as packaged goods and foodstuffs from India and Pakistan. Extensive offering of spices, rice, frozen foods, bulk foods also. Typically busy especially on weekends! Mostly self serve as staff are always busy! Reasonable to good prices!

Ms. Sarabjit Kaur, on the cash counter is submissive, kind hearted and instant ready to help every customer. Sometimes, I am facing hard time to locate any item, my first preference is always for her to ask. She always relying with smiling face.

This is the second time overcharged by mistake .actually not chillies pepper.

Good amount of Indian items available here ranging from veggies, fruits, snacks, whole grains, dairy and home essential.Would recommend buying fruits and veggies from supermarket because at this place they may be cheap but not fresh sometimes. But great place for Frozen and packed Indian food items.

Bought this on 31st july 2022. I havent check the date or open the box in store. I have small kids at home he noticed it and told me that it is not good. The stuff inside is expired and have fungi on it. There is no proper manufactured date on it. I called the worker and she said just return it and get a new one. How hard is it to check manufacturers date of stuff before stacking it to aisle?

I wish if I could rate this store in negative. I visited here july 10 aprox 8:30 means today. The cashier was very slow, she was not acting in a front house staff personality, was looking everyone very rudely like she don’t want the customers to be there. When it came for my turn I paid the bill and was having my hand in the air for receipt but she just threw it on the counter like she was doing very everyone else. It was my last visit to the store and would make sure my message would be heard by all the customers and the appropriate authorities. Don’t know if that employee was like that or they have this kind of standard for all employees but it was very bad experience.

Typical Indian grocery store, with it's over crowding and somewhat unorganized shelves. That being said, it has most Desi items that you may need. The produce quality is good and prices reasonable. Staff is too busy at the counter but will help out if you plead long enough. If you live on the North shore, this is a must visit because we don't have anything like it. Parking is easier than expected behind the store and also on the adjacent street. Overall good place to find Indian items.

A perfect place for shopping Indian Groceries, vegetables, and fruits in the vicinity at reasonable prices as compared to other similar outlets.

Great place for shopping but the customer service is very poor. Especially the cashiers, after they scan ur products they throw it like they don’t care. I wish their supervisor taught them better because thats not a good customer care. Every-time i see the cashier way of working i feel like not to return to fruiticana but their products and produce are great. Myself working as an sales associate in a grocery store, it really pains my heart with their service. Idk how other customers feel
