Had the English style fish and home cut fries with a piece of chicken. It has been years since I had been to a Deluxe" franchise. The fish was fresh and the batter was to my liking. I think Deluxe has the second best tasting fries for a fast food restaurant. And the chicken was tasty too. I'll be back for a visit soon. Can't wait!"

Just don't. Over priced greasy gross. My fish was uncooked. No apology at all, like they expected it. All I tasted was grease. Only good part, fries were decent. Even the packaged tartar sauce was sweet!

My last meal was completely raw. This one was even worse. The fish was so burnt it was not edible and these are not fries. They are crumbs. They should have been tossed not served. I won’t be back.

Never going back... Burger was super thin and hard. Small portion when it comes to the fish. Fish was mostly batter.. The only good thing about this place was the fries.. Staff were not that polite either.. Didn't receive any coleslaw with order..

This restaurant is pretty good. I ordered the clubhouse sandwich platter and my husband ordered the 2 piece English style fish and chips. I asked the staff if real mayo is used on the clubhouse and was told yes. It was definitely not. The pop I ordered was watered down and not fizzy at all but the server who came to our table was great to replace it with a bottle instead of fountain pop. My husband seemed happy with his order.

This old school fast food restaurant is not part of the big chains. It is a rare gem and worth checking out.The quality can be a bit inconsistent though so Don't let one bad experience ruin this option for you. To the owner, this place could be truly amazing with a little bit more effort.

Our favourite spot to stop on our way through! Food is great quality, fresh and made fresh to order. Breaded fish is generous chunks of fish, lobster roll had big claw chunks, flavourful fresh cut fries. May wait a little longer in the drive thru than a chain burger joint, but it's because the food is made fresh.Advanced tip, drive back under the highway to picnic style your meal at the info centre.

Truro location: Since the dining room was closed at 6:34pm on a Saturday, I was forced to use the drive-thru. When I pulled up, the server was quick to ask what my order was and since i was unfamiliar with the menu I blurted out 3 piece fish and chips with a fountain pop thinking it had to be less expensive than a sit-down restaurant. In retrospect, I should have asked for more time because I was wrong. When she said $25.63 I asked if she rang it in correctly. Apparently so. At this price for fast food, it should be great. Right? It was not. The fries were ok but the 3 very small pieces of fish should have been thrown back. Super crispy and greasy on the outside while still having gooey batter on the inside. Since the fish itself was bland and not firm at all, it was hard to tell the fish from the glue-batter. This will be my last visit because I know Truro has great fish and chips at local restaurants where I can just ask for take-out.
